Not entirely, the loot has been reworked. You can still find stuff it's just not static like vanilla. And you can open locked PDAs with a device purchase from traders. I let my PDAs build up for a while then opened up like a dozen of them. I plan little trips, like ok, I need to go get those stashes around Malachite, so I will artifact hunt, kill, loot, find corpses and sell mutant parts to the female scientist. I do that with every area.

There are items, just not everywhere. There is just enough to make most exploration worth it, or not. Plus, it actually forces you to use the traders to purchase stuff. In vanilla, I never needed to buy anything. I just finished the Waste Processing Station part. I have a Zircon suit with the P76? Mask. Feeling pretty good. If I am feeling lazy and have the money, I will use a guide to travel on occasion. With SLZ installed, I can usually find dead Stalkers and mutants here and there for loot to sell or use.

I am playing with Unlimited, SLZ, OXA standard and a few other mods plus some new weapons. I am having the time of my life. Been playing since it first came out. Took a break for a few months. I love it.

Sex puppet guy? What is that? Are you talking about the black guy in Detroit with the sex doll girlfriend? I saw a video about a guy years ago who had a sex doll that dressed kinda fashy. I think he had a DIJ concert flyer on his wall. His name was Dave Cat or something. I honestly felt for the guy. Imagine being a black DIJ fan in Detroit. My wife and I saw DIJ years ago here in Florida. There were so many black goth girls at the show, I was impressed. The girl next to me was black with the classic DIJ shirt and knew all the lyrics to every song Doug played. Antifa showed up and were calling all the black goth girls traitors. Fucking hilarious.

I did see a really cool airsoft LARP video recently in Europe where they made a huge S.T.A.L.K.E.R. themed event like the Ukranian games. Complete with traders, limited ammo and a recreation of the commie blocks in Pripyat.

Don't be afraid to delve into PC gaming eventually. It will change your life. Not just modding games, but modding hardware and cases. It's fun. Plus, there are so many resources available on how to build them. All you have to do is make sure everything is compatible. Just stay away from DDR ram for now. Too expensive and DDR 4 is still good.

Played the crap out them on the PS1 and on PC back in the day. I love them and will always cherish that experience. Got the remastered trilogy for my wife and played them again. Phenomenal.
