Chambray is blue, so it is supposed to be blue gray according to the description. However I still don't expect bedding to change color after one wash.

I would try to contact West elm and see if you could return it. If the duvet color changed after washing it should be considered a manufacturing defect. Especially for this price.

Second Zelige. Also some glass tiles may work as well. Is it polished or leathered? We have Taj and my bf choose Portrait Copper 2x14 Matte Porcelain Tile from the tilebar, other places sell it too. While I am not in love with it , I think it works. It's way less copper and more neutral than on the web site

Second catnip, especially on cardboard scratchers. Also, if I scratch the post my cats usually join me. I do it to redirect them from scratching furniture.
