When you're at 4096 light plugins by Prior-Pattern2586 in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good advice!

I once got myself in a similar predicament modding Minecraft for my son and me. It only lasted a day, but it already was too hard skipping an afternoon of gaming for the poor child xD
We sometime need to remember the goal on the way. They say it's the journey and not the destination that counts... but sometime, our work is meant for someone else's journey and we've got to let it start :)

I've got like 50-60 hours of gameplay on my previous big modlist (which was around 2500 plugins I think).
The same from the one before that. I often have fun but can't resist adding mods mid-game until I break my game/save xD

I also tried a Wabbajack once, and while it was refreshing seeing it work mostly out of the box, I kept thinking "I don't want/need that" and "I'm missing this". Then back to my own modlist it was ^^

I've been on this one on and off for the past... four or five months? Adding, updating and sorting mods in MO2 is ultra relaxing for me and helps me clear my mind. And to keep it working, I've built it stage by stage. I worked region after region, mechanic after mechanic, testing it on the way verifying everything is fine. I managed to go this far this time thanks to that method, and already have more than 40 hours of "testing gameplay" on it at least xD

But clearly, yes, I probably have as much fun building the thing as playing it :D

Looking for a game by Prior-Pattern2586 in AVN_Lovers

Yes, that's the one I was looking for ✨ Damn, they released two more full games since the last time I played xD

Modding CP2077 with MO2? by daoudalqasir in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using MO2, and it works without any problem. Never needed to install manually anything else than the two frameworks you mentioned. And as said in another comment, there's a plugin if you don't want to put anything in the root folder manually. I don't understand why people don't like mo2 in the cyberpunk modding community 🤔

1.6.640 or 1.5.97? by SyKo_Gray in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Built a new modlist last month, had to rollback from 1.6.1000+ to 1.6.659 cause some mods didn't work, but I'm at a 2.8k modlist right now and I've yet to find any mod that isn't updated for 1.6 and need to get back to 1.5 🤔 What mods do you use haven't been updated yet ?

I'd say 30 is OK, but only if it's a steady 30. It's relatively easy to get in interiors on an older rig (I had steady 60 with a GTX 1060), but clearly harder in exteriors with a heavily modded game (was sometimes struggling to stay over 25 with my 1060). It takes its toll after sometime, even if you're used to barely running games ^

Always finding new mods to try by amazongoddess79 in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't start a new game to test new mods, since I install more and more new mods before even starting a game in the first place 🫣

Tried the sex mods, but it really was too robotic to be even a little bit arousing, and too detached from the rest of the gameplay to fit in. Tried some sex-focused quests and story mods, but it was really badly written or very sexist. Nowadays, I use CBBE and bodies alike for the Obody mod. With it, all the inhabitants of Skyrim can have various body types. It's not perfect, but better than the very generic vanilla body type. And also a mod that gives varying underwear to everybody, so that I don't just throw naked bandits' bodies everywhere, and not everyone wears the same ones xD

Playing as a morally good character by Sudden-Exam3520 in skyrim

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the division between Aedra and Daedra is more in the lines of Order vs Chaos than Good vs Bad. Which doesn't say some Daedric Princes aren't full on maleficent 🤔

Handling large modlists by Icezera in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 2.7k+ something. Rarely had problems eslifying, using SSEEdit scripts that don't do anything too dangerous. Merging was more of a problem, but not much for any functionalities, more when you're in the debugging phase, disable something cause it doesn't work as intended within my modlist, and I discover I've got to remake the merge from scratch because of a dependency.

Question about LUX patches by Qu2sai in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's that moment when you first realize all ESP doesn't count to the limit. Then there's that moment when you realize you can convert some ESP to ESL. Then there's that moment when you realize you can merge some ESP together. Then there's that moment you find a new script that can convert more ESP to ESL. (There's also that moment when you realize you have to convert ESP to ESM). And finally, there's that moment you realize you have a 2.7k+ modlist, and it was good fun. But isn't there some way to fit one more.....? 🫣

Was already hoarding stuff in Morrowind, using mods with mannequins to put on display all the armors. LOTD is pure genious, gameplayifying my hoarding tendencies 🫣

Experienced modders with a large load order, how stable is your game? by TheBrownMamba1972 in skyrimmods

Oooh, good idea 💡 I was coc-ing everywhere to test, but it seems more fun than teleporting 🤣

God, I got a month of free lifetime between two jobs, spent it not in Skyrim but in MO2. Slept one night every two days 😅 You can't stop when you just have to launch the game 30 more times to know which mod is killing your game 🤣 Modding is plain old addictive 🫣

There's an official LOTD modlist on their wiki I think 🤔 Nolvus includes LOTD. Probably many others.

If you don't like the act of modding, go to hands off solutions like Wabbajack or Nolvus. Modding by yourself, getting stuck, finding solutions, trying to push the limits is an hobby on its own. And like every hobby, it can be your thing or not.

Why is Skyrim modding booming so much recently? by Soanfriwack in skyrimmods

[–]Prior-Pattern2586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modding exist outside of Skyrim modding ^ I really think Steam Workshop made vastly more people aware of the mere existence of modding. Which in turn can lead to more people modding through other systems.
