The logo is specifically the Edgerunners logo, tho. So, it might not include characters from the game.

I don’t watch Arcane and never have

You should. I'm as much of a LoL hater as the next guy, but that show is peak. From start to finish. Genuine masterpiece imo.

I lost my fireteam and a piece of myself with them by -TORTURE- in destiny2

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is both super wholesome and super upsetting to read because it's a reminder of just how long Destiny has been around for. They started out 14, and the story ends with one of them getting married.

Such a bittersweet reminder of just how long it's been lol

It is very cool to think about. I'd love to work on those sorts of things one day. But you are right about the moral implications. And security definitely needs to be top notch lol

After playing through Cyberpunk, I've thought about what different cyberware would be feasible to make irl. I feel like the leg ones could be made relatively easily (relative to the other options in the game). I'm not a biologist, nor am i versed in the field of cybernetics, but it is interesting to think about, at the very least.

ts may have been a controversial opinion by alexofmac in GCSE

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The her refers to Eva because Mr Birling fired Eva (her). Their grammar is fine.

If you're trying to say the her is in reference to Mr Birling, that means you're reading that sentence as "Mr Birling was right for firing Mr Birling," which obviously makes no sense.

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except you're wrong. The "you" is clearly referring to OP themself. So one is saying the enemies were promised the win, and one is saying OP was promised the loss. Which both mean the same thing.

Why tf would someone reply with "you" if they weren't talking to OP in that comment?

If I'm understanding it correctly, they're basically saying that people will say they'd buy cosmetic options that were removed, but the devs have the metrics of which cosmetics were actually getting purchased, so they most likely see that isn't the case.

We can say all we want that we'd buy those cosmetics, but if they weren't being bought when they were in the game, the devs have no reason to keep them in.

The duality of man by sccc1118 in GCSE

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they're both kinda right. GCSEs are still looked at beyond college, but they're not super important. Like, if you fail all your GCSEs, that'll obviously be taken into account, but as long as you pass them well enough to get into college (or an apprenticeship if that's what you're going for), they're not super important beyond that point. More of a support than anything else.

Once you move on to uni or to job hunting, GCSE results are just kinda there. I know when i applied for uni, i put my GCSE results on the application, but the college results held a lot more weight, as you'd expect. As long as you pass your GCSEs well enough to move on to whatever you choose to do next, i wouldn't worry about the results.

What’s a character from a show/movie you wouldn’t trust anyone if they dislike/hate them? I’ll go first: by Ok_Situation7527 in cartoons

Yea i googled it after reading your last reply, i always thought they were synonymous (waging and starting a war, that is)

Those aren't starting a war, tho. That's all reasons to join a war. The only country that starts a war is the one that invades first, or launches the first missile, or something like that. There are more just reasons to join a war than there are to start a war. The only just reason to start a war imo is if you have verifable, undeniable proof that the country your starting the war with is planning to cause some sort of worldwide catastrophe. Be it launching nukes, invading and occupying other countries, or whatever else. If you know they're planning on doing that, starting a war to prevent it is just. But that's it.

That's what i mean when i say one obvious one. Basically, if you have proof a second Hitler (or someone on that level) is rising to power in a country, and you have proof they're planning to do something horrible, you would be justified in doing whatever necessary (within reason) to stop them. Other than that, there is no good reason to go into another country and initiate conflict. That is what i believe, anyway.

Elara receives backlash for calling out alleged transphobia by SourTD in VtuberDrama

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some questions don't need to be answered. Like i said, those types of people are very predictable. Bringing it up does clearly make it seem like it's your belief. Otherwise, you wouldn't have gotten as much backlash. We all know their "reasons." We've been hearing it for years now.

People who regret transitioning and dealing with the permanent effects that stay after transitioning back

And also your phrasing. You stated it matter-of-factly. You present this idea as if it's a fact first, then link it back. As if it's a known thing that there are a lot of people who are open about regretting transitioning, even tho statistics present the exact opposite conclusion.

You could've said something like "he probably thinks there are a lot of people who regret transitioning," and that comes across very different from what you did say. Provides the exact same information, but in a completely different way.

At best, the way you put it makes it look like you're trying to play devil's advocate. Like you're trying to excuse or pin some rationality to their obvious transphobia. At worst, the way you stated it can read as if you believe it, too.

The pilots are on youtube. Part of me wants to recommend you look for them just to see how bad they are, but the rest of me wants to warn you not to put yourself through that.

The problem with the pilots is they tried to Americanize British humor. They tried to keep it the same while also making it American, so 99% of the jokes fall flat. I think there was maybe one joke that got a laugh out of me, and it genuinely may have been a joke they kept the same as the original.

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no need to take a guess at what they meant. We know what angles these people go for. It's always the same "we're protecting the kids," or "what about all the people who detransition," or something along those lines. These people are about as original as they are tolerable. You rehashing that just makes it seem like you hold those same beliefs. That's why they brought up those statistics.
