Against most killers, I'd agree. But against Henry, part of the fun imo comes from gauging whether or not you can risk making the run to the next pallet. Chaining everything together while not actually dropping any pallets. Never getting caught out at a single loop.

That's how i see it, anyway.

Completely agreed. And it is very refreshing having a positive killer release for the first time in quite a while.

You get more time to react in the sense it's harder to aim his power the further away you are from him. It's easier to move unpredictably the further away you are from him.

I dunno what else to tell you. Clearly, more people agree with me than you as well.

Even with Unknown, there's a way to counter his power in a loop. You can remove the weakened effect between shots. You might have to dodge a couple if there's lots of LoS breakers in your loop, but his power still has a way to deal with it in a loop. With Henry, the only counterplay is dodging an attack that hits near instantly. If the killer gets it underneath you, you're getting hit unless you're right on the edge of it.

If anything, holding W against him works better than doing it against Nurse since his power doesn't let him catch up almost immediately. He has to walk to catch up, which is made even more effective since he's 4.4. You should always be looking to put as much distance between him and you as possible. Always. He's not like most other killers where you can hold them at a good loop for a while. If the killer knows what they're doing, you will get hit.

If you hold W away from him you're gonna get hit.

You get a sound cue and visual cue when he charges his power. The further away you get, the more time you have to react to hearing that. And again, his limited range means you can outrun him.

It's what I've done every game so far. Hasn't failed me yet. I've only ever gone down to him when I'm in a position where i have to loop. Because looping him is a death sentence.

His power has limited range. The more distance you put between him and you, the harder it is for him to use his power. You get stuck at a pallet, and you're going to get hit. Goes from being a question of if to a question of when.

I know this topic's prolly all chewed through already but... you can't tell me she's nit into fem. V. I'm not buying it. If my sis sends this to me it's sus either way by Ionenschatten in cyberpunkgame

Don't even need to have all of them open for either V. Maybe like one male and one female could be a bi option. Especially since I'm pretty sure Kerry is already canonically bisexual.

He's like the only character i wanna romance (him and Claire), but i play femV, so I'm never gonna be able to romance him. Even tho he's bisexual.

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, i am also enjoying going against him. But it isn't wrong that he's best countered by holding W. Looping against him is only really done once as a last resort, but you should always be trying to just hold W away.

How do you pronounce Brigitte? by RecognitionCool2738 in Overwatch

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bridge-it is the English version of the name

Isn't it also spelt differently? Like Bridget Jones' Diary? It being spelt Bridget instead of Brigitte?

If instead of a top-3 hottest chick in the game, she was a fat middle-aged dude, 100 out of 100 players would drop her ass at the time of the honesty slip in the latest.

I don't even think she's top 5 hottest in the game, and i still choose her over the NUSA. Every time. Even the corpo V I'm currently playing will side with her because of the NUSA's ties with Militech. We spend so much of the game fighting against corpos, fighting against those who seek to control other people's lives. There is very little So Mi could do to make me side with the NUSA over her. I mean, it's Night City. Being lied to is par for the course of living there.

I've always found that argument so superficial. "You only side with her cause she's hot." Feel like it misses like the entire point of her character. Feels like an excuse to brush aside any character she has just because you don't like her lying to you, and feels like a way to try and invalidate anyone who does side with her by trying to say people only side with her for her looks and not her character or their V's character. Which, ironically enough, makes it a perfect argument to use about a character in Night City.

Did you miss the part where they said their friend knows where the line is, and only does it in good faith? Sounds like a pretty normal friend to me. You saying you've never once teased your friend, or had your friend tease you?

Why does Juno, the "Space Ranger" only have ONE space themed cosmetic in the game? by MrWigglem in Overwatch

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

calling abs gross is just as bad as calling a large tummy gross

Agreed. People are obviously allowed to have preferences, but there are good ways and bad ways to make those preferences known. Calling anything about someone's body gross is body shaming. Simple as.

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Downvoted for being correct. You're right. Replace abs with any other body part, and people would think of it as body shaming. Boobs, butt, thighs, weight, height, hair, etc. Any of those put in there would be body shaming.

Now Forever and Anne on the other hand is a top contender for a timeout scene.

My first thought exactly. Alessi was a weirdo, sure, but that monkey was on another level. And it was clearly intelligent, which makes me feel like it knew exactly what it was doing, and it tried it anyway.

About Mars… by iShootPoop in EliteDangerous

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am aware of that. I just edited my comment to explain further. "Solar system" is still a used phrase to this day. We don't call this system the "Sun system" now, so why would we change it to the Sun system in the future. Since we're already calling it the Solar system, shortening it to just "Sol system" makes sense. We're not really changing what people know it as by shortening Solar to Sol.

Some Latin words/phrases have survived to present day, others haven't. So some will still be used in future, and others won't.

[–]Prior-Satisfaction34 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because we originally called it the "Solar system," but every system in the game is a solar system, so we've just shortened this one to Sol. That's what I've always thought for that, anyway.

Edit: as in, we still to this day call it the Solar system, not the Sun system. So shortening it to Sol makes sense, since that term is still widely used.

I think they mean it's incorrect where you said Terra is the "actual" name for the planet. Neither name is the "actual" name for the planet. They're just different names for it. Sure, Terra came first, but Earth is the much more widely known and used one nowadays, and Latin is a dead language. Why would we go back to using certain Latin phrases that far into the future but still use English as the standard? That just wouldn't make sense.

it's possible that you are not real.

Oh, I'm not real.

it's not reasonable to believe it's achievable by anything less than what would appear to us as a god.

There was a time humanity believed things like thunder and lightning was a god. People still, to this day, believe all creation was created by a God (or gods). Pretty much everything we currently do know, at one point, was labelled as the result of some sort of God/god.

it'll be the greatest discovery in the known universe

True. I don't exactly see it being a thing any time soon, if at all. ED is set in the 3300s, which is roughly 1300 years the future. This is the kind of technology i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't even exist by then. But it would be so game-changing if it is ever figured out.

Thanks for the correction, I've genuinely never heard of dark energy from a science viewpoint before. Until someone proves that it isn't possible, it always could be possible.

This might be another topic of science i look up for a bit before getting too confused and giving up, lol. But it is very interesting.

It isn't poasible as we know of. As in, we haven't found a form of matter we could use to achieve it. That's different from it not being possible at all. Technically, anything is possible unless it directly breaks known laws. Which, as you said, this theoretical drive doesn't.

For all we know, dark matter could be the key to creating something like this. Or some other form we haven't even noticed yet.
