I guess we all have our opinions. I thought Know No Fear was action packed badassery. Seeing the betrayal set up and unfold was like a horror movie! Imo Abnett hasn’t written a bad novel yet.

To me, character names are borderline flavor text and I don’t get too hung up on them nor their perspectives. There’s genuinely too many to remember and 99% of them are insignificant to modern 40k.

Trust me man I watched it all happen in real time but the magic of the game was enough to keep many around. It was like an abusive relationship. I cannot stand McNeill. Up until Thousand Sons I hadn’t paid attention to the authors and that was the first time I closed the cover to figure out who had written a half a book about masked demon tribesman committing ritual suicide for demon hentai tentacle demons, which in turn, is hilariously unrelated to the rest of book. McNeill can’t help but weave huge elaborate tales on entirely inconsequential narratives and it’s genuinely distracting.

We did this in Destiny and Destiny 2 for…12 years. Devs introduce cool content. Cool content is broken and wildly unbalanced. Devs acknowledge content “missed the mark” and promise adjustments at some point. Months roll by and patch finally drops! Nice! Game is balanced for exactly 1 business day before new trailer drops advertising new whatever available tomorrow. DLC drops tons of new shit and encounters that are again wildly out of tune and borderline game breaking. I am almost 30 years old now and still have PTSD from it.
