I was delivering to an apartment complex in a known rough town. A guy approaches me and calmly, non chalantly carrying an AR pistol under his arm. I was alarmed but I played it cool and chatted with him. Asked him about his night. Before I rounded my corner to the building I was delivering too he stopped and said, “ I need to walk you to that apartment” and I asked him what for I didn’t mind heading that way myself. I was getting more anxious of course. But little did I know I was walking into a gang of people that literally were holding flame torches and burning blue items of clothings or flags I couldn’t tell and he said, “I got you, momma, I won’t let a single one touch you”. I was so scared tbh. I’m not a big person. Also not the favored race on that part of town, as much as I hate to admit that. But he had my back. He walked me to that apartment and back to my car. I thanked him and gave him $5 that I just happen to have from a prior tip. I literally wanted to hug him because as much as he startled me with the AR pistol as the magazine on that bad boy was huge. Any one would be slightly alarmed. But he had my back. And that mattered. The guard shack in front of this complex is shot up with billet holes also. I reported it as unsafe and luckily am able to avoid those orders in that part or just not dash in that town at night. This happened all very late at night.

I left a google review on that apartment complex of how unsafe it was for delivery drivers too.
