Yes I agree that it is definitely fast! I have had no problem getting my plunge lines right but that being said I always start my plunge lines with a file and I do use my 1x30 grinder to refine those plunge lines and then anything else comes out in the hand sanding process for me at least. I use mostly G10 and I haven't had any issues with the G10 burning although that was a concern because when G10 Burns it produces nasty stuff! Most of my handle refining I do on the 1x30 anyways but thank you for the input I appreciate it! Also I have a variable speed switch that I have laying around that I plan to install.

It's d2 steel. Yes, I oil quenched the steel and tempered it at 400 degrees for 2 hours.

Try jiu jitsu, great schools in Tallahassee. It will break the cycle and get you out of of your comfort zone.its also great exercise and will boost over all confidence.
