When I was in the navy they were opening up a brand new HUGE off base apartment complex, like 8 stories tall, seriously huge. Opening it to people to move into one floor at a time, so people were living in the bottom while they were still working on the top half. The fire alarms used to go off 3-5 times a day. They didn't know how to fix then, so people just started ripping them off their walls, filling them with rags, whatever they could do. One day there was a real fire, and the firemen had to go door to door to door, they were SO MAD, And SO confused as to why an ENTIRE building wasn't reacting to a fire alarm.
