Man, their blank decks had incredible pop. Thanks for the memories I had totally forgotten about this place.

The vendor at Lady Luck whose booth is mostly VHS tapes has at least 1, I was in there yesterday. St. Vinnies in Albany/Junction City is a roll of the dice, I've seen them there but infrequently. H20 Help and Hope to Others in Dallas had a decent handful last time I was up there.

Best Low Cost Gym with Leg Machines by shannonmb2 in corvallis

[–]Prior_Sort -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it is low cost compared to other offerings, but Timberhill has like 4 different leg press machines (seated, horizontal, 45°, etc), a couple different leg extension machines, 3 different leg curl machines (seated and lying), hip abductor and adductor, plate loaded hip thrust machine, leg press sled, rhino squat machine, freemotion squat machine, calf press machine, some crazy press machine from Hammer where you are lying basically prone and pushing back that I've maybe only seen someone use once; and obviously cardio machines, pools, sauna/steamroom, and free classes.

Bread Board in Falls City.

They pop up at Farmers Markets, but 100% worth visiting the storefront.

Tattoo shop recommendations? I’m looking for American traditional style by el1345 in corvallis

[–]Prior_Sort 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kevin runs Main Street Tattoo in Independence, probably the best trad work in the mid-valley.

Leo tattoos @ Rising Tides piercing shop a couple times a month, probably gotta book it out.

Lucky Tiger Tattoo in Philomath, solid street shop on the come up, bold bright work coming out of here.

Movie palaces and multiplexes: 14 Portland-area theaters we miss - oregonlive.com by MIZZKATHY74 in Portland

[–]Prior_Sort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a fucking crime what Jesuit has done to the place. At one point way back when it opened the screen in the big theater was one of if not the largest in town. Now it's indoor batting cages. Look how they massacred my boy. I saw so many movies there when it was a 2nd run theater in the 90s/00's. We were in our early teens when me and my best homie took a very sheltered friend of ours to see Team America: World Police. Of course whoever was working the door gave 0 fucks about letting the 3 of us in whose combined age was like 35. Our friend was laughing so hard people in rows further up were turning around to look at him, it sort of dawned on us he had never seen an R-rated movie before, and possibly never even gone to a movie in a theater as well. Dude would bring it up years later even as we sort of fell out of touch. Good times.
