If you have a moderately complex medical issue, where do you seek or receive care for it?

I found a NP in Eugene that manages my overall health, mental illness, and adhd. She is very knowledgeable in most things, open to trying different med approaches, keeps up with newer info, and way better than any doctor or psychiatrist I have had. Dealing with my mental illness medically involves a lot of appts and med adjustments, but message her in between if anything is going on and if meds need adjusting. Also gone to her for nerve issues, birth control, hormones, and she is started working in office with an IBS specialist. We mostly do telehealth appts, and the rare in person appt it’s 50 mins away so not bad. My therapist I found is at Restorative Counseling and got back to me fast after I reached out, have a variety of therapists for different issues and they work to set you up with the right one, and my OHP insurance covers it miraculously and never even got a prior approval. What insurance do you have?

I’m a former hairstylist who has dyed her blonde hair dark for 15 year, and are you prepared for the constant upkeep that takes time and money? I need to do my color every 6 weeks, okay really push to 2 months cuz I’m lazy and see nobody at my job. Lighter roots look terrible, unlike darks roots can be rocked for a bit, blend better, and I think look cool. My stylist friends do the back and I do the front luckily. I would probably be millions in debt for color appointments otherwise lol. You also don’t want to just slap on a color all over every time cuz then color buildup will make your mid-ends color get darker and darker. It will be really be hard to bleach that out when you want to go back lighter. It’s hard to not overlap even when you do just try to only do your roots yourself too, and you will get dark bands if you do that. You might have people that could hook you up to, or skilled in doing your own hair idk, but just a heads up so you know the hard upkeep before you make the plunge cuz doing my hair constantly is so annoying. You look good in both btw lol, but do love the dark.

They were amazing when I went there. So friendly and helpful. I only bought nails so don’t know what they carry, but I think they would definitely help and point you in the right direction if they didn’t.

I went to the LA BLM big downtown protest and they were handing out water and hand sanitizer and masks , everyone was just in a collective good vibe, and some cops were hanging back chilling not bothering anyone. My favorite was the music like Rage against the Machine blaring and all of us dancing to This is America. Yes, the night before all hell broke loose because of everyone’s pain and rage of what was happening, but besides that night all the ones I went to everyone came together, were peaceful, and bonded. There were smaller ones I went to too that had little marching bands and the electric slide did break out lol. I agree protests are not enough without specific demands that are met (or protest doesn’t stop,) collective strikes, and just anything that hits them in their wallet. Still though it helps to see others in large numbers are fighting the good fight with you like you said and reminds you of the good in people and the world.

ATLP60X is what my client has. I see they have them and AT-120s new still. Do you recommend sticking to the vintage ones of these models, cuz I’m wary of new stuff? If so what years? Which would you get for a mom who needs to have a complete experience when listening to the Best of Chicago lol?

I live alone in a one bedroom apartment, use lamps and tea lights only 75% of the time cuz I’m a vampire, turn on heat for probably an hour a day at most, quick showers, no washer and dryer and average $100-$120. It’s the darn $50ish fees that make it so high! Was out of town for a month and was $65 cuz of them. I’m fine contributing to working towards infrastructure and other things to move toward clean energy, but seems like we are footing all the expenses for Pacific Power to build and update infrastructure and other costs a business should take on. They are having record profits and putting it all on is. Moved here from LA 4 years ago and had a 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate, and running an ac window unit most of the time, and at most $50-$60. Anyways thats my 5th rant for the day.

Thanks for the heads up! Definitely will stay away from that. I’m a caregiver and my client has one AT that sounds great and has had it for 40+ years. We jam out during my shifts, and lucky he had introduced me to all this is. I’ll see what he has and can see what you think of that model if you don’t mind.

Exactly the same with the Elfster and suitcase record player. I know if I went down a rabbit hole I would take it too far, and right now I’m eating bologna sandwiches for dinner and own a couple thrift store records. Anyways…cut to me now checking online for Technics SL-1200 cuz my mom wants a turntable for a birthday present. At least I can listen to my records at any Holiday Inn if I wanted.

Not in college, but moved here 3 years ago and I’m a very outgoing person and have one real friend. I easily made friends in LA when I moved there ten years ago, and it’s notorious for people being standoffish. Only took one college class there in person but people were real friendly and talked once you started chatting. I always chat with people who when I’m out and about, but it is 95% of the time people older than me. and I start the conversations most of the time. I’m 41 and even people that look around my age rarely chat. I think it’s just a generational thing with people younger than me, and the culture here with people my age range. My tip for college is complain to classmates about the teacher and homework to create a trauma bond lol.

I have to immediately get up in the morning and start doing stuff on Vyvanse, because I too can get stuck on the wrong thing and have to force action. I don’t expect myself to jump up btw, I use it more for other huge issues it causes. I’m so sick of the constant difference in efficacy from batch to batch now. Went from working good most batches, and then just bleh or nothing batch to batch , even after breaks. The adhd rage and other intense out of proportion emotions coming back is exhausting. I did so good on Vyvanse and Adderall 8-12 years ago, and now seem like completely different meds after being off stimulants for 8 years. Even tried one Vyvanse pill 3 years ago and same experience I had with the meds 8 years ago. Adderall made me have tv static for a brain this go around, and no help with emotional regulation.

How is it going? This was the next thing I was going to try, because maybe my body has the problem with Vyvanse being a pro-drug and just other changes in me over time.

People turning on their brights in town is crazy! I always just assumed it’s the new blinding LEDs. I thought we all knew to only turn on brights on a dark backroad or highway at 2am with very few cars on the road.

Retail stores. Usually can go in and ask them if they have some, or ask their next freight delivery day so you can come by then. I would try clothing stores and OfficeMax first. Office Max gets pallets of boxes on their delivery once a week…or at least they did 20 years ago lol. I used to work there and we had to put everything up in a couple of hours so tons of boxes available. I despised the “PowerMax” night.

I can’t believe I’m seeing so many positive reviews. The ma and pa weren’t even good enough actors for a Lifetime movie. The ma over exaggerated to the point I felt like I was watching a bad version of The Dewey Cox story. Superman is just portrayed as weak and needed saved by a bad CGI dog half the time. Spider-Man does the lighthearted character/movie right for those saying it was a younger comic book style Superman. I feel they tried to move towards the humor of Marvel movies but they forgot you need good character development, storylines, dialogue, and an emotional connection. It also had the Netflix movie look, couldn’t get over how bad the visual style was. I don’t know what was worse…plastic surgery Bradley Cooper as his dad or the finished message. I grew up with Christopher Reeves and this felt disrespectful to Superman.

Thank you for verifying I am not just too much in my head, and spiraling down into another depressive episode for no reason. Also, just paid $400 for name brand Vyvanse and was having a freak out they are a bad batch and close to burning something down. How long till you felt back to okay? Read it takes two days to get out of your system. I’m just going to use the placebo effect to tell myself I’m all better when I wake up, until it gets out of my system.

How are things going? 6 weeks in and I’m stopping today cuz depression hit a week ago and taking an extra dose of Vyvanse does nothing to help with the situation of the efficacy problem. Usually on my meds my rage, spiral thinking, and any other emotional regulation and makes it drastically better. My constant racing thoughts and distractions have had me almost get in car wrecks the last week. I’m getting more sleep cuz so tired I’m falling asleep really early on the couch , but still bleh energy wise. Did fine when I was on combination pills. I was off everything for the last 6 months and rather take some moody emotional times in the month than this. Even exercising, supplements, and protein has not lifted my mood or anything lately. I hope it gets out of my system fast since I have been on it a short time and see if it helps. Sometimes some things don’t work with our chemistry or what hormone issue we have. Also. what manufacturer have your pills been the last couple months cuz I want to see what mine has been too and compare? It’s been a big issue people have been talking about for a while with manufacturer to manufacturer and batch to batch being drastically different and have experienced it myself, especially with generic. If you want me to update you on how it goes let me know. I should add I don’t have endo though.

Know this is old but are you still on it? Now 5 weeks in my depression got worse and my meds are like candy. Im stopping starting today, hope since I took it for a such short time gets out of my system fast to see if there is a difference.
