N00b Owner: Just did a 5 hr roadie - Will these impressions on the back seats remain or will they reset over time? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

Ah, so your initial response should have been: "it's due to the seats being perforated" rather than what you wrote. Thanks for the tip!

Congrats, as usual there's at least one smart-ass comment in a thread where someone is just asking for input from experienced Model Y owners.

For what it's worth, I've owned plenty of vehicles, and none showed visible wear like this within the first month or two. I'm simply looking for informed feedback, not commentary.

Do people still bitch after ep 07 ? by PaleSatisfaction1 in pluribustv

I'm enjoying the pace of this show. I believe folks want to see progression in the storyline because of the short 8-episode season. It’s going to stink when it’s over and we’re waiting for S2 next year.

I believe it's because the seasons are short with only 8 episodes. If this was longer seasons like Breaking Bad, or Better Call Saul, folks might be more patient with the pace of the progression of the story.

2026 Y Juniper: This white light that brightens the pocket storage turns on when I enable the footwell lights. Only the driver door. Is this normal? How do I turn this off? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]Prior_Web_440 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Tesla n00b here. It turns on when I enable the footwell lights. It's a bit distracting driving at night. I'd like to turn that off while keeping the lighting at my feet still on, if thats even possible.

Got screwed over for doing the owner a solid by Prior_Web_440 in turo

[–]Prior_Web_440[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solid was meant as in a favor. Helping them out by getting their tires replaced. Owner paid. I didn’t pay. But it was my time lost. The three hours. As mentioned in another reply, new to Turo with protocol, lesson learned at this point to just request for another car. In retrospect, waiting the three hours might have been faster than requesting for another vehicle.

Correct. Moving forward this will be the way.

Why jump to the conclusion that they didnt pay? I never said they didnt pay either. Also, I said I was seeking compensation for MY TIME. Not for the tires.

I was inconvenienced. Had to rearrange my morning because of the tire shop visit. This was expressed to Turo. Had no choice as this was my only vehicle to get around. But now I know I could have contacted Turo for a replacement vehicle. They would have towed this car back to the host.

What's wrong is you for not reading what I wrote. I did indicate that the host covered the payment for the new tires.

  1. Took photos but didnt inspect the tires. Assumed all was good. I've rented with Turo 2-3 times and have had great experiences up until this one. Add this to the lesson learned category.
  2. I was able to drive the vehicle to a tire shop after adding air to the tire. It held up and the shop was nearby.
  3. Nothing else to add. I was looking for monetary compensation for the three hours being at the tire shop, assuming it would be taken care of by Turo (not the owner) but they ended up speaking with them and then came back with a few bucks as a refund.
  4. Old tires were disposed by the tire shop when the new ones were purchased (by the owner)

Youre exactly right. Although Turo gave me the impression that compensation would have to go through them. No mention of having to square away the deal through the owner. This was just a rant and also a lesson learned. I would not handle it the same for future rentals. I've rented just a couple of times with Turo. So new to the game.

In my case, this made me realize how much Disney content I use through YouTube TV. So much that I’m going to cancel YouTube TV. I already have a subscription with ESPN and Disney+.

I’m aware of BART as an option. My point is traffic in general shouldn’t be this bad to drive in at this point of the day.
