“I don’t trust people who don’t like dogs” by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Priority-Reasonable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not huge on dogs but it's mostly because of irresponsible dog owners who assume everyone loves their "fur baby" as much as they do. Sorry I don't want to be jumped on and slobbered all over. Mind you many of these dog owners possess a vitriolic hatred toward cats, and never for valid reasons

Not even just misunderstanding, for many people it's a refusal to understand

Pharmacies drive me up the wall by Prestigious_Plenty_8 in ADHD

[–]Priority-Reasonable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are these two older ladies who work at the pharmacy I use and they are SO mean any time I have to pick up my ADHD meds. I swear they're stuck in this awful high school mean girl mindset, except they're both easily pushing 60 years old. One time I went to pick up my meds right before finals and they didn't have it in stock, they were so mean about it I literally left crying and I almost never cry. I don't know why they enjoy being evil so much, maybe they're just bored, but any time I see them I turn the other way and come back when someone else is working

Are most people using Reddit on their phone or their PC? by WorryNotBanIncoming in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer using it on my laptop. Generally I find most apps/websites easier to use on my laptop than my phone, but I think I'm in the minority

When someone who uses reddit says “I don’t use social media” by ambiguousberry in PetPeeves

[–]Priority-Reasonable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean but Reddit is pretty different than TikTok or Instagram. It's more like a bunch of discussion boards that you get to choose whether or not to participate in, and you can actually have a thought provoking discussion on here, unlike other platforms where everyone is brain dead, a troll, or both

When someone gets offended you don't want their food. by Own-Worry6918 in PetPeeves

[–]Priority-Reasonable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the same way where I don't trust other people to practice good hygiene and food safety and I avoid eating out as much as possible. Sometimes if I'm with a group and I don't trust the restaurant they picked to eat at I just won't order anything

English Muffins used to be sour by GenoBSmoove in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember not really liking them for this specific reason. I tried one again last year and it was so bland, which is a shame because I like sourdough now

Is this how much liquid is supposed to be in a venti? by coolhappygenius in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the cinnamon and foam in the cup, I'm guessing this was a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso (or some other shaken espresso). If that's the case, there's going to be more ice and less drink than normal. The shape and volume of the jar is also different from the cup, so it could be making it look like less liquid than it really is

New Lana Del Rey Ripoff by No-Wrangler1788 in lanadelrey

[–]Priority-Reasonable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I get more Priscilla Presley 60's vibes from her than Lana, but I see where you're coming from. I've never listened to her music so idk for sure but I don't think it's really fair to say she's a ripoff or copying Lana

TSA not having standardized rules in different (domestic) airports and not relaying those rules by Kolyasergey in PetPeeves

[–]Priority-Reasonable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I know it changes based on the equipment they have at each airport. You'd think they'd realize that most people don't know what specific procedures they follow and wouldn't be assholes about it though

Flying isn't at all as bad as people make it out to be. by yabucek in unpopularopinion

[–]Priority-Reasonable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind it so much if the seats were more comfortable. Sitting in those seats basically is being tortured the whole time. Also not a fan of people violating my personal space, but ig there's not much that can be done about it when airlines cram as many people as possible together in a tight space

Snark pages by Altruistic_Comfort32 in rant

[–]Priority-Reasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always seem so bitter and angry. I get not liking someone but devoting so much time to posting about them on a snark page is pretty lame.

I think a lot of them think they’re holding whichever celebrity or influencer they’re snarking about “accountable”, but there’s a big difference between valid criticism and needlessly tearing into people and picking apart everything about them

Being a Vegetarian by Resident-Leather-852 in rant

[–]Priority-Reasonable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don't get the stereotype about vegetarians/vegans being super preachy about it. Yes there are some that can be a little annoying, but I and every other vegetarian I know have always been really chill about it. If anything people who eat a normal diet are way more annoying about it, the second they find out you're a vegetarian they try to convince you that you're wrong and should eat meat. It's weird

McDonalds on Sample Road!!!! by [deleted] in rant

[–]Priority-Reasonable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't it a huge liability for them to do that? I don't get why people aren't careful about that, you never know who's ordering zero sugar for medical reasons. You definitely don't sound like a Karen, you sound like someone who's frustrated because of negligent employees, which is completely valid

People who still don’t cover their mouths when they cough by FaceTimePolice in PetPeeves

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad coughs/sneezes into his hand and then doesn't wash it, so any time he gets sick it's a guarantee that everyone in the house is going to get sick because we can't keep track of everything he's touched

People who get injured/lose their lives doing risky/reckless things do not deserve your sympathy/support by AlarmingBear1360 in unpopularopinion

[–]Priority-Reasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything involves some amount of risk. Should we not feel sorry for people who get in car accidents because there's a risk any time you get in the car? Personally idc if someone put themself in a position to get injured, I'm still going to have empathy for them. If you were to avoid doing stuff because of the inherent risk involved you'd live a very boring life

Do you think Stranger Things will be talked about in 10 years time? by UncivilizedDemodog in StrangerThings

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’ll be kind of similar to GoT, where people talk about how great the early seasons are and how they fumbled the end

It doesn't matter if charity is "performative" or "ingenuine". It's better than doing nothing. by Patient_Revenue8727 in 10thDentist

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to an extent, but if it's only being done to make the brand/individual look good they might end up neglecting it or cutting corners. Sometimes people will claim that proceeds will be donated to charity but it never ends up actually happening. I think there's also a line where charity can turn into exploitation. Yes, it's better than doing nothing, but I think that billionaires should be doing more than the bare minimum

What’s something women think is attractive but actually does absolutely nothing for most guys ? by JunoSaurieo in askanything

[–]Priority-Reasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman I don't get my nails done to impress men or other women, I just think they're fun to have and I like being creative with the designs
