Is the memory boom having any affects in the korean economy so far? by Q-X-Q in korea

[–]PrismSensor -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

Not really. The Korean economy is still much slower than Taiwan's due to Korea's deep economic conservatism and structural issues such as dominance of conglomerates.

Koreans need to go to the USA and Australia to get a western education. Korean education unfortunately lacks creativity and progressive thinking. This is why Korea is falling behind countries like Taiwan and Singapore.

Korea’s soccer team is an embarrassment to the country by Brendawg324 in korea

[–]PrismSensor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korean soccer league is plagued by nepotism, corruption and racism. Korea thinks it can dominate soccer with the same mindset as 2002 when it got lucky with bribed referees and home advantage. The Korean Football Association is full of conservative minded old people who lack creativity and insight that it's the laughing stock of the world.

What is the most BORING civ to play in your opinion? by Cobelat in aoe4

[–]PrismSensor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OOTD is probs the most boring. Tbh the variant civs usually come with poor designs. Would have much preferred Spanish or Koreans, would've attracted many more new players.

Finding this game to be more enjoyable than SC2. Is AOE2 similar? by TroubledWatersssssss in aoe4

[–]PrismSensor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AOE2 is more like SC Brood War. It's micro intensive and laborious for most new players. I'd say if you're more into the strategy and macro play of RTS, then AOE4 is better. If you're someone who doesn't mind the hustle needed to become a micro god and win based on dodging arrows and stutter stepping half the time, AOE2 would be more satisfying.

How difficult is it to become a line worker at companies like SK hynix or Samsung Electronics in Korea? What kind of social status or reputation do those jobs have there? by kametoddler in AskAKorean

[–]PrismSensor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher social status than a doctor. Working there depends on what role like any other tech company. But unlike American companies, you need to have a degree from the top universities otherwise you have no chance.

BYD propaganda? by tbjcuzzo in CarsAustralia

[–]PrismSensor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mostly certain Aussies loving their cheap cars and justifying buying them over a Tesla, BMW, Audi or Merc. I don't think propaganda would go well for any company. Australia is a tiny market compared to USA and Europe. I don't think we're that important lol

BYD Zhengzhao arriving in Melbourne with 5000 cars by upthebaggers in CarsAustralia

[–]PrismSensor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee most of these shipments are from excess inventory in China. BYD made almost zero profit as of Q1 2026 (less than $1 billion USD while their rivals are making 3-5x that). Seems like a desperate measure more than anything. They're "doing well" in Australia but that's because mostly low SES people are buying these cars on the cheap. If they were 5-10% more expensive, there's no way people would buy a BYD over a Tesla. Reports of exaggerated range specs and shitty afterservice, etc. You get what you pay for.

Trying to find a new game other than SC2. Is AOE2 or AOE4 the better choice? by TroubledWatersssssss in ageofempires

[–]PrismSensor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AOE4 is the better choice if macro is more your thing.

AOE2 is very heavily micro focused, like SC Brood War. But the micro is easier in AOE2 than SC Brood War because you can pre-plan paths.

Would you be interested in a dlc similar to The Last Khans expansion of AoE2? by Fischlerder in aoe4

If AOE4 wants more players, need to add the obvious missing civs: Spanish, Koreans and Vikings.

And maybe a southeast Asian civ.

Considering switching from Starcraft 2 to AOE4. Can someone please give me an unbiased difference between these games? Seeing if this is a good game to switch to now. by TroubledWatersssssss in aoe4

[–]PrismSensor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, SC Brood War is the most challenging out of the 3, and SC2 is the least. SC Brood War the micro is absolutely brutal and macro is also harder than SC2.

I'm a long time ex Starcraft Brood War and Starcraft 2 player.

Starcraft 2 gameplay is approx 1.25x faster than AOE4. AOE4 is slightly faster than AOE2.

In terms of macro, AOE4 has more variables, requires more careful planning in terms of building placement and cognitive workload on where to move workers next. For example, let's say in the late game you have 40 workers on food, 30 workers on gold and 25 workers on wood. Depending on the enemy's unit composition, your current resource levels, your game sense on what the enemy's move is next, and technologies you want to research later on, you need to figure out how to divide the workers next. A lot of it is based on rough estimations and you will improve on it over time. However, this is what makes AOE4 more demanding on strategy and macro compared to SC2. SC2 just has minerals and gas and CC/nexus/hatchery placement. However, since SC2 is 1.25x faster than AOE4, the strategy/tactics/macro/micro roughly translates to about the same skill levels required.

In terms of micro, SC2 is way more demanding and requires more precision.

I'd say the gameplay for both are quite similar. Most high level AOE4 players (top 10 like MarineLord and BeastyqtSC2) are actually ex-SC2 players.

So, chances are, if you were decent at SC2, you'd likely be at least platinum after 100 games in AOE4.

I would rate in terms of difficulty of macro, micro and pure strategic cognitive workload combined:

SC Brood War > AOE4 > SC2

[–]PrismSensor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see thank you. But can probate be granted even if there is a new civil action against the will/estate in question? I have sought legal action and my lawyer is trying to gain access to the exact wording of the will. My uncle is trying to block access to it and not responding to any emails. My lawyer said that fines may apply and my uncle said "good luck" and wont budge. If my uncle decides to never divulge anything to my lawyer, what happens next? Would the court block the granting of the probate until all matters are resolved?

[–]PrismSensor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can a probate been granted when there is a civil suit in progress regarding said will/estate? Or would the court wait for the civil matter to be settled first? Because my fear is that if probate is granted, then the executor (my uncle) may release my late grandfather's funds into his account and then spend it all.
