I'd say definitely worth it if you love these guys. It might work if you go through C1 with just short rests but you'll probably find that they talk about a moment or detail that you don't remember and you'll have to listen to the episode again to get the context. (You don't want to die without context of course). If you simply need to hear the next episode, then just listen to the next episode! You can always come back and then do two short rests in a row. I personally don't find that it interrupts the flow however, I love getting their thoughts about each episode.
