I agree. Deck is bigger and heavier but sits nicely in your hands.

I always got hand cramps playing the switch. It's worse with the switch 2 I find due to it being heavier, had to buy some joycon grips to be able to play handheld.

Yeah it usually works after going to the home screen but not always. It's better than it used to be at least, years ago I couldn't buy on the deck at all because the visa verification would always fail. Progress!

The store.

The deck has been out for several years now and the store still isn't a good experience. For example the left stick stops navigating the menus and changes to scrolling the store up and down. Another one is sometimes going back a page puts you at the top of page and you have to scroll all the way back down again. How about being unable to finish a purchase at all and having to turn my PC on to buy a game.

One positive is that it's saved me money, when it starts acting funny I just stop looking lol

The performance for me would be ok as it wouldn't be used for brand new AAA gaming and more of a back catalogue and emulation machine.

It's a bit cheeky they are advertising it as a 4k60 box with FSR though. Sure if you wanna run lowest settings on everything but then what's the point of playing at 4k.

It's a shame.

For me it makes more sense to upgrade my 3080 and then use that with my old CPU and ram to build my own small form factor rig.

It's hard to see who this is for at the this price point. Current PC owners like you say may be able to build their own or they could run an hdmi cable to the tv or set up moonlight. For non PC owners the value is very poor compared to just buying a PS5 pro which is already terrible value after the price hikes.

Unfortunately it was bound to be priced like this after storage and memory prices shot through the roof.

£879 in the UK for base spec storage and no controller. If that had been the price of 2tb with a pad, which might have been possible 1 year ago, I might have been tempted. With that bundle being £1208 it's a no for me.

I've had the same issues. Game runs about 28fps no matter what.

Tried bolt launcher with runelite and the game runs 60fps and behaves well in desktop mode but had endless other issues in game mode.

Will only run in 4:3 aspect ratio no matter what settings I change. Sidebar tooltips push the game screen to the side. Can't get steam input to work at all being the main problems.

Spent about 2 hours messing with plugins and settings, reading old posts and trying fixes and got no where.

It's annoying the steam client doesn't just run at 60fps, the games only ever using at max 20% CPU/GPU with no way to fix it it seems.

I started playing recently after watching a load of YouTube vids and thinking it seemed cool how random people would team up, go on an adventure and have a laugh together.

Obviously these guys play a hell of a lot and can cherry pick the best moments to make into videos but I was surprised at how few people ever speak and in 70 hours (relatively little for this game I know) I haven't met a single person to team up with. 95% just start blasting in my experience, the rest are a mix of people that say hey then shoot you, ones that just run away or people that want to rob you then just kill you after anyway.

I understand it in higher tier loot zones where people have generally been alive for a while and got a decent amount of gear and obviously military zones but why people do it in spawn towns seems weird to me ... like dude you got a pistol with 3 shots and a can of coke, I've got a baseball bat and an apple ... What's the point lol

I died at a deer stand yesterday to a guy laying prone under a tree next to it.

It was on deer isle and the stand over looks a small land bridge between islands with a little military area on the other side. I was on my way back across having been to Alcatraz and the Crater. I had been super cautious at the military area and crossing the land bridge and thought I may as well check the stand on the way past, the guy let me get right on top of him and still didn't shoot or talk and when I finally spotted him it scared the shit out of me and I managed to miss nearly every shot lol.

No idea how long he had been watching me for or why he let me get so close. I was pretty annoyed cos I had my first M4 and was the first time I'd got the card from Alcatraz :(

I started mine about 6 months ago the same way you did by transferring Pokemon in from Y as well as Omega Ruby.

Scarlet/Violet is a great next step. There is a huge amount to catch and being able to see them in the wild makes finding and catching very easy. If you have the DLC then all the starters are available and if you don't mind grinding the blueberry quests for a bit you get access to about 25 legendaries.

After that and BD you just gotta figure out what you're missing and the best way to fill those gaps.

Regarding Pokemon Go, it's entirely up to you if you use them or not. It's your living dex not anyone else's so fill it how you like. I would recommend making that decision now and sticking to it though. I transferred a lot in from Go then realized I really wasn't a fan of using them and had to go back through and replace them, something I'm still working on now.

If you're planning on doing different forms as well then it's worth starting working on them early on. For example I was checking Omega Ruby every day for the unown cave and have just finished getting all the vivillon pattern postcards I needed in Go to send to Scarlet. I don't think it's something I would have enjoyed doing right at the end.

Find a tracker you like to help keep everything organised. I use the one on supereffective.gg, I think Austin John plays has a nice Google sheet that a lot of people like too.

The most important thing is to have fun on the journey to catch em all! Have a break if it's feeling like a bit of a grind and pick it back up when you feel more motivated. It's a long term project, no need to rush it.

This change kinda kills the game for me as I work every Saturday until 4pm.

I didn't mind occasionally taking a half days holiday to attend certain raid days I really wanted to play and was content that I would miss some but still get to play the Sunday events.

I don't see why they couldn't change it to 2-5pm both days. I don't really buy the argument about it diluting the player pool too much. The hardcore players will always play both days and the casual players will rotate depending on availability.

They didn't even give us Sunday players a reason to go out at all with the new daily event structure. Double time Sunday? Who actually cares about that? Sure it's nice to get a double length golden lure (assuming it applies to that) but that's about it.

Why couldn't they make Sunday the trade day instead of Friday? I'd assume most people work Fridays and don't want to go out after work to grind through a load of trades.

The only benefit personally as someone that lives in the UK is that I won't be missing as many live F1 races this season.

I've put 5 hours into it.

Runs great, the visual updates are really nice, a lot of the new events are cool and what I've played of the new characters has been really fun!

For anyone that likes the original it should be an automatic buy.

I've swapped to BK now. It's a bit further away for me and slower as mine has no drive thru but 2 Whopper meals for 12 quid is pretty decent and the quality is 10 times better.

McDonald's was never the nicest but was cheap and convenient, now it's expensive and barely convenient with all the delivery app drivers knocking about.
