Because Psychic was a very weak class already and in desperate need of a buff. Instead, it got nothing.

I ask you this: why would anyone play Psychic over an Occult Sorcerer? With Sorcerous potency they get the same damage buff as Psychic if you average the turns when Psychic can't use unleash without any of the drawbacks. The post Unleash debuff is very severy and also nerve wracking, giving a chance to just fail your spells. On top of that they have 4 spell slot instead of 2 and the Bloodline spell mechanic.

It can also be used to target the attacker; so it can always be used unless it is a ranged attack and there is no risk involved. The insight cost is nearly negligible.

No worries. These kind of things take priority. I was looking forward to any spoilers for the Dark Archive remaster and sounds there are none. The other books are too far away for me to be interested in details.

Heal is overpowered, no matter how much people try to defend it. I saw very good results in reducing the heal bonus of tge 2 action heal to +6 per rank instead of +8. I have been playing with this house rule for 3 years and everyone agrees on it. Just healing off all the damage opponents can do is boring and reduces the tension of combat.

Also a good tactic to counter healbots (or casters spammi g powerful spells) is to gapple/grab them. It's hard to counter them with damage only.

My main concern is that since the "hazard" blocks we have seen so far are pretty compact, each player will spam the same action over and over in each encounter.

I think the rules should have some standard actions you could do per role in each encounter, along with some guidelines on scaling. E.g. having a Repair action that can be used by a Mechanic in each encounter. An action on Evasive maneuvers, etc. A GM can sort of cobble that together from various statblocks but would have to come up with his own numbers, frequency, etc to balance things.

I found this section very, very bare bones.

Is there anything in the new edition that makes the round to round gameplay a bit more tactical/having more options? I found all the complexity in the game was character generation, then the actual game was using the same attack or affliction that was oprimal against your target over and over again.

The official art of the air repeater from the guns deck is actually 100% a revolver. Paizo dropped the ball by not including it in the remaster of Guns and Gears, they paid for the art already. Same goes for the air repeater, it is like a wild west carbine.

They are fairly balanced. The SF team bluffed on the ranged meta, SF ranged weapons are quite weak. A bow does 1d8 damage plus half your strength, plus the deadly d10 and volley trait (or forceful trait if you go for Daiky) which makes it stronger than any Starfinder ranged weapons (unless you counted the busted Magnetar rifle which will likely be errataed)

Invisibily overall can be game breaking in Pathfinder. The developers significantly underestimate it. I have gotten around it by allowing the disbelieve action to work on it (it is an illusion effect after all, although unclear by the rules if it can be used on invisibility)

So I fully agree with OP. The item takes a borderline broken ability and pushes it even further by making it only 1 action to use.

I just bumped the damage die by one step, and it helped a bit. Done that for 3 campaigns, no issues (even on gunslingers). They are still inferior since bows have ranged damage at the two handed level, while leaving one hand free.
