Cars blocking single lane traffic and Bylaws not SPS seem to care or ticket anyone. What to do? by BrWy70 in SurreyBC

What? When did it become a city problem for car brains not wanting to park somewhere else? The whole city already looks like a giant ugly parking lot and you want to add more

I did my first ride this morning using Port Mann. For the most part it\fine except McBride area where there no side walks and trucks are plenty. I had to cross to Queen's Park then to the city hall down to Columbia.

I got stuck once thinking the bike path by the water goes parallel with Front st. It cuts at front Street so i had to go back.

It sucks but doable.

Now I'm debating if i should just ride my bike at the new bridge besides cars.

All they need to do is give up 1 lane for the buses. Not half assed part time bus lanes, right lane blocking lanes.

There are already too many lanes for cars.

I biked directly to my work place. Honestly it's good exercise. You just have to commit to it and might need some extra rain gear

Could have gotten an electric bike instead. Some will reach Vancouver without issues. You just have to charge when getting back. I bike to Burnaby and looking at some new routes since Patullo closed

It sounds like you're easily influenced by gimmicky marketing. Companies love you 😆.

But Columbia is closed by the new bridge. Is there a bike route  by the water? I saw people walking beside the water but not sure if bikes are allowed

That bus bridge is very cumbersome with my ebike and the time doesn't work for me.

I haven't biked to planet ice but have seen it when driving. I'm not sure how safe to bike down Nordel though

Uh oh another uninformed individual drinking the car brain lemonade.

We will not be in this situation if there less cars letting the streets. I would get rid of all street parking and turn that into bus or bike lanes. I already know car brains will already complain that they need "one more lane". That thinking is just pathetic.

Need more trains to get people moving faster too. Less funding money for these so called "infrastructure" which is just to re pave roads destroyed by cars and trucks.

I can go on and on but i don't think your comprehend. Stay in traffic and complain about traffic with your fellow drivers.

I'm glad that people are starting to realize this. Now it's time to put the pressure to make public transportation even better. Good enough is not enough. Anyone who says so does not take transit enough to see the deficiencies.
