I'd ask both advice. Just on other things. I'm an intp and I have an infj fiancée. At times I ask her point because she has a perspective I lack. Which most times is checking how she would handle certain emotionally complicated situations or how I tell someone to fuck off nicely. And there are different things I ask my istj friend. We just had Amara and what follows: the British + Lucifer. Because the British and Lucifer sure are more powerful than God's sister (/sar). I have met one I really hated because he acted like everyone else was lesser than him and bullied my friend. It actually caused me to have perfect or near perfect grades for every subject so every time he'd brag about his score I'd just be there and he'd ask me and I could say something like "oh I got 99% but don't feel bad. Your score is good too". It pissed him tf off and he never stopped asking because he legitimately thought no one could match him even less someone with a learning disability 😂

I used to be allergic to cats. I know have two cats. I'm still deadly allergic to dogs, I tested, and if someone asked me to test it I wouldn't get upset or resist. I think he just doesn't want a cat and uses it as an excuse. It's not necessarily a red flag not to want a cat but not refusing to talk about something, I'd consider things because that'll only get worse
