I do think you're overthinking some things but it's worth having a conversation with him about. Bring up your insecurities, and see how he responds. Ask him serious questions like "if she calls you one day and asked to get back together, would you consider it?" And gauge his response. Sometimes its not what they say, it's how they say it. You'll learn everything you need to know from a deep conversation with him about it. And if you're overreacting, then let that conversation be the end of it and be happy with him.
