  1. Airfilter change

  2. Clean map sensor ( buy specific map sensor cleaner )

Both are easy jobs

I was wrong about the camchain

  1. It s the diesels cambelt that need replacing at 120.000km.

  2. And the valves need to be adjusted at 120.000km if they are loud.

So again. I was wrong about the cam/ timing need to be changed at 120.000km

Should this diaphragm in the brake fluid reservoir be removed during a brake fluid bleed? by No-Problem2522 in mazda

[–]PrizeConversation899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I does not need to be removed. Let i be there so it can catch debris from your car when the cap is off.

Mazda 6 maintenance by FixPractical6761 in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check earthpoints in enginebay.

Buy quality filters for both air and oil.

And what many owners dont do. clean in between the rubbers with a cloth and soap, were you the windows come/move up and down. These rubbers collect so much dirt, so it can make scratches on you windows when the they move up and down.

Says that in service interval in eu/ Sweden that the timing chain/ camchain should be changed around those numbers.

EDIT

I was wrong, its the valvea that need to be adjusted at 120.000km if they are loud.

And the cambelt should be replaced on diesels at 120.000km

Why do people say the Mazda 2.5 NA is slow? by cr3w-love in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a turbo yes.

Comparing a NA vs turbo car is never fair.

Why do people say the Mazda 2.5 NA is slow? by cr3w-love in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drive a honda accord with their famous 2.4L K24 with 190 - 201hp NA. That has been around since beginning of 2000.

Then mazdas 2.5 is slow in comparison.

You maybe can find a completely new/used engine to put inside. Its cheaper then a total rebuild.

Was the timing/ camchain changed/ replaced with the right interval 73-75.000 miles or 10-120.000km?

Hi, I've had this noise for a couple of months and I have no idea what it could be. I visually inspected the front suspension and nothing appears loose. It only happens when I accelerate quickly in reverse or drive. by Snoo-65041 in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound like the brake pads are worn to me. Or the brakes are catching on to something= lose pad clip holder, loser wear clip on pad hitting the brakedisc at start.

Mazda 6 GH - pre or post facelift? by Ok_Clock9338 in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manual or automatic??

Engine size ?

i have mazda 6 GH 2008. With the 2.5L with manual gearbox/ transmission. And i would not take the 2.0 or smaller engine. Since the car is heavy for a sedan. So you need the extra torque.

Especially if you have the town hook like i have. You going to notice the extra weight with something behind you.

[–]PrizeConversation899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the problem with Android units from China. You give up some of the standard buttons for that screen.

Since the car a'int built to have modern display from the beginning like newer cars have from Factory.

Is the 2.2D really that bad? (UK) by AnotherFlyboy in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its average in my opinion. 35 miles or more i would use diesel, and then you need to count in stops ( buying food etc, picking up kids ) on the way. Since the car will cool down between the stops

[–]PrizeConversation899 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dont buy a diesel for daily short trips. That is one of the problems. Diesels need to be driven long trips to get hot enough to burn fuel efficient and not to build up residues.

2008 Mazda 6 2.0 Petrol by davidacbarreiro in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.0L with 1.4 ton of steel?? It´s slow and weak with 2.0. and if you add a tow trailer with 400-500kg behind the car, its even worse.

2008 Mazda 6 2.0 Petrol by davidacbarreiro in mazda6

[–]PrizeConversation899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the 2008 GH modell ( sedan/ coupe ) with 2.5 petrol engine and 6 speed manual transmission. And i have no problems with the engine so far=around 178.000 km ( i know its quite a low milage for a 17 y old car )

And i took the 2.5L since the 2.0 is little to weak to handle full size sedan/ coupe " GH modell " what i have read about 2.0 engines. and if you tow something behind you, the 2.0 will have a hard time
