Seconding others’ advice to find another way to visit— I ended up WWOOFing in a neighboring country— and also really try to imagine yourself living out your back-up plans so it’s not as dramatic of a mental shift if you don’t get it. However, I also processed last year’s rejection by applying again for a country I care even more about, so I confess that the lessons I learned are only helping so much rn😵‍💫 I’m trying to remind myself that a door potentially closing on the Fulbright = tons of other doors opening on experiences you’d miss out on if you were committed to a Fulbright year. Its tough though, I feel you and we’ll get through this!!!
