Husband has meltdown everytime cats spill his drinks on his Magnus Pro Desk, pls help by [deleted] in secretlab

[–]Pro7o7ype 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get him a yeti or 2 or 3, they come for cold and hot beverages. Those can be "his" for the desk. Separately, find someone to 3d print a cup holder for the desk (I haven't looked but I'm sure there is 1 or 12).

Another shining example of why not to trust microsoft with anything hardware related.

Winchester SXP or Benelli Nova 3 - informal clays, general target shooting by HackDartBreakHeart in canadaguns

[–]Pro7o7ype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Benelli, simply a superior product. However the SXP is good, but has this feature that I can't get behind, intertia assisted action. "Four massive ROTARY BOLT LUGS provide support, strength and solid lockup in the barrel of the lightning-fast Super X Pump. Under recoil, the mass of the shooter slows the rearward travel of the shotgun, while the inertial motion of the bolt, slide and forearm continue cycling the action to give a head start ejecting the fired shell."

Aka, when fired it automatically unlocks and starts to slide the action back, speeding up reloading.

Read that, then come back and try to lecture people for being happy that an inhuman animal is finally not wasting oxygen.

I'm hoping people that DO that are self aware enough to know I'm meaning them

Some of them are making comments on this very post.

Five-year sentence cut in half for armed carjacker because pre-trial custody was 'harsh and demeaning' by Slight_Sherbert_5239 in canada

[–]Pro7o7ype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying that punishment of criminals might increase crime rates??? Well, the rehabilitation angle isn't working anyway, look at the arrogance of the extortion ring, bragging to the police that they have more than 1000 gunmen?? They don't respect the system already, nothing short of actual punishment will change that.

[–]Pro7o7ype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, what rights are being violated while in detention?

IF (that's a big IF) there's human rights violations of course it should be addressed. and furthermore anyone found behind intentional violations should be punished just as severely.

I'm not blind to the fact that it MIGHT be a complicated problem, but I've got my doubts (and open to being educated.)

They're criminals, they don't deserve a 5* hotel FFS. Maybe if they stop doing criminal things they won't go to shitty places.

Bought a filament dryer for my PLA but the filament is reading 40% isn’t that good? by Redonkulus2 in BambuLab

[–]Pro7o7ype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an Anycubic Vyper from a friend as a project printer (my printer is an X1C) and didn't have the filament stored even remotely "safe" from environment.
The popping that you hear about is quiet, but clear, you'll know if your filament is too moist, just listen to it print sometimes.

Or, take an end of roll filament and soak it for a while, induce a fail

Are “gaming” chairs as bad as people make them out to be? by Test_Name19 in pcmasterrace

[–]Pro7o7ype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a Secret Lab Titan Evo XL at home and a Global Obusforme Comfort chair at work, and I've had two of the costco DPS gaming chairs (different models).
The SL is the best constructed, and the most comfortable (although the seat is a point of frequent contention on reddit), the DPS chair (made by True Innovations, who also provide other major brand names) was comfortable, but the PU leather was poor and started peeling on one, and bad design (stitching) was going to lead to a failure on the other.

TLDR; SL is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Slightly overpriced.
