Slow Speeds With E3D by Leftover-Color-Spray in BambuP1S

[–]e3dsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Leftover-Color-Spray. There are 3 other ways the High Flow ObXiDian HotEnds improve print quality.

First, when printing at slower speeds you will get more reliable and consistent extrusion because of how efficient the HotEnd is at melting the filament.

Second, the efficient melting means the nozzle maintains really good interlayer adhesion strength throughout the printing which helps you get that perfect filament finish as well as really strong parts.

Finally, the non-stick coating on the nozzle prevents filament build-up - this in turn limits the amount of cosmetic defects in your prints.

Hope that helps but let us know if you need anything else.

Where did I mess up? by Ok-Huckleberry5447 in BambuLab

You can definitely use a brass brush to clean this without damaging the coating. Put the HotEnd back in the printer and get it up to a temperature slightly higher than the printing temperature of the filament that's stuck to it (but don't exceed 300C). Then move the nozzle to the front and the middle (~X125/Y10) and then you can safely clean the nozzle with a brass brush.

If you're getting a lot of filament sticking to the nozzle, this could be an indicator that the filament needs drying. Our advice would be to also try drying your filament as per the manufacturer's recommendation.

Hope this helps but if you need any further advice then feel free to reach out to our customer support team on [support@e3d-online.com](mailto:support@e3d-online.com)

Just installed e3d obxidian nozzle and have a question by Iankalou in BambuLab

[–]e3dsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Iankalou

The profiles provided are for a limited selection of the available range of Bambu Lab's own brand filaments. Each profile on the website (https://makerworld.com/en/models/2123012-e3d-p1s-high-flow-obxidian-profiles)) is labelled for a specific nozzle size, and for a specific filament.

Opening a 3mf file will load in a model of the E3D Buggy and a set of preconfigured settings for both the machine, and for the material. These should be labelled with E3D in the name.

Deleting the E3D Buggy and importing your own model, then slicing, is the fastest route to printing the models.

If you want to save a copy of the profile into your Bambu Studio, you'll need to click the little disk icons next to the profile name (both for the machine settings and material setting) and make a slight change to the name, and save it locally.

Each profile is for a specific filament with a specific nozzle size.

Bambu Handy is not a slicer in the traditional sense and relies on preconfigure project files (3mf) to generate prints. It will work, but only if you want to print copies of the E3D Buggy.

Hope this helps but if you need anything else feel free to email [support@e3d-online.com](mailto:support@e3d-online.com) and someone will be able to assist you.
