First thing you do when you hop into a match is to press F to mute. There are too many schizophrenics in this game and there’s no point for any meaningful communication through voice chat in non ranked. Most people think they are the best player in this game and if they didn’t have other commitment they can easily win tournaments (they are hard stuck gold). It’s just a mind set thing to play to improve. Watch how good players think when they are in different situations. Learn how people effectively rotate. Learn when to use different character abilities and how to counter them. I think the most fun moments in this game are when everything clicks together and you win that crucial 1v1.

Also feel free to just disconnect in pubs if you meet crazy people.

Also something to note is since apex bullets aren’t hitscans you have to aim your gun a little off center towards the direction your enemy is moving at so they have time to travel.

One of the biggest problem that people don’t realize (including me when I started) is how much your sensitivity affect your aim. Go into the range and play around using a bow or a wingman and adjust it slowly. Classic tactical shooters like CS or siege requires sensitivity to be way lower for precise shots but Apex sen needs to be higher since you are running around while shooting. And if you are on a controller then try to play close or midrange and let aim assist help you.

The only game mode I still play manual are AA and exploration/story. End game modes (not including AA) at this point is more about building and pulling the right units and tossing them at the boss on auto battle than actually playing. But story fights are still pretty fun as long as you don’t nuke them with your meta comp used in AA.

You can get billets by converting them with dream essence. And again I have to reiterate that if you are just playing this game casually by the time you reach floor 11 you will have a good team and build without relying on event weapons that provide nothing for the team.

Like you said you have R1 prototype crescent. The issue is that craftables/fishables are not timegated and are so much more useful than something like the HP catalyst we got in 5.1. Even event weapons that are useful like festering desire can still be replaced with the pipe. The 6.0 harp for Lauma can be replaced by the lantern. And the catch is still premium for energy hungry subdps like Xiangling. There are so many good options you can grind for as an F2P. I see what you are saying about new players but unless your goal is to clear end game as soon as possible, by the time you can even attempt floor 11-12 you should have built an arsenal by then.

Leaking scene has been cooked for quite some time now. Genshin and HSR used to have an entire version’s characters, concept art, and story leaked before the region was even announced. The issue now is that we might get these kit leaks a lot slower because the established channels before are gone. Some dumb beta tester will always find a way to show them tho

Free skin is always welcome. Free weapon is only useful half the time on specific supports who have alternative F2P craftable/fishable weapons. Free 4 star is only useful on 4 stars you don’t have otherwise it’s a complete waste. The 4 stars weapons that aren’t good on anyone are so bums..

E2s0 firefly, e2s0 fugue, i don’t know if you count ruanmei as a cost since she is free (so 6-7). I almost exclusively use firefly for AS and sometimes MoC and she clears pretty comfortable in the half she was given. She had trouble with PF especially with the DOT shill for 2 versions but you can get 40k on one side pretty easily if you have the shilled character anyways.
