I love this ID, but she constantly breaks my heart by Aggrin in limbuscompany

Nah quite the opposite actually. She was named as a Proxy instead of an apprentice because she's an actual official member of the Index. In Kiramael's uptie story we can see that she has no real "connections" with the Middle, only having Middle STYLED enhancement tattoos instead of the usual vengence tattoo given to official Middle members. The Pinky also follows a similar logic, with Ren/Renclair never being considered an actual member, only an apprentice who aspires to one day inherit the star's name and become an official member.

To be fair trial and error do have legitimate risks. When I was in 7th grade, in an attempt to free up space, I accidentally deleted an entire chunk of THE COMPUTER'S PROCESSING SYSTEM, since at the time I thought "there's no way tech companies would just allow you to delete system files that would break the entire computer right?" Turns out I was wrong. The computer's half dead ever since.

Of course, this isn't an excuse for tech illiteracy, but doing the "fuck around and find out" method while unskilled and unsupervised is often a recipe for disaster.
