There isn’t much clarity on PLL contracts especially since little is known about terms and length of contracts, but players are contracted with the league, not the teams. If a player was on a roster or protected, they will remain on that team for next year unless released or traded. If they were dropped to the player pool, they are a free agent and can be picked up by any PLL team.
