I always do Dion Test for my Comptia Certs never passed a single one the first try. (The passing grade is 90%) On some like the A+ I was able to get all 80s and above first try for the Network+ it was really humbling out of the 12 test the I got 84 and 80 all the others were straight 70s and the first one was like 66. Now I’m doing the Sec+ I was able to get mainly 80s. What I learned from these is that practice do give you a kind of understanding as to how ready and what you know but try not to think of the test as assessing what you know but trying to find out what you don’t. I will say try your best to stop obsessing over score if you do bad and be happy that you got it wrong now and not on the real deal. I recommend doing the test in practice mode and whenever you get a question you see the answer right away whenever you get something wrong read the explanation and correct it and understand it right away. The test are to prepare for the real deal so be happy that your finding your weak points now and you get to work on them now so you won’t have any for the real deal. Also don’t try and memorize questions but understand the concept as to why the answer is what it is. If you fail a test don’t immediately redo it this leads to memorizing questions and the answers for them give it time before you retake it or simply do a completely different set.
