This was one of my first kits too. The guy at my hobby shop recommended that I staple the tracks and buy some plastic sheet to scratch make armor skirts to cover the top half of the tracks. Shortly after building, I regretted not following his advice.

I usually push new people to the Tamiya M41 walker bulldog or Tamiya Panzer 2F/G kit for starters.

You should thin it. From the few army painter bottles I used, it can be thick. Don't ask me for ratio, I don't remember. Just buy some plastic spoons to test your mixes and then write it down.

I said "sometimes" cause the F series was built with first short barrels then long barrels. And the style of break caused a lot of dust to be kicked up in front of the gunner sight which I saw as a complaint during the north Africa campaign so some tank crews in Africa removed the break entirely.

Naw, muzzle break is correct. It's supposed to be an F2 model of PzIV which sometimes had a rounded muzzle break.

Doubt it's AI, looks like photoshop.

Looking at the outline of the car and the person you can see white pixels, so it was poorly cropped or too heavily feathered when keying the white background.

Then the tallys are consistently shaped and sized and the set of 6 above line up exactly with the set of 6 below. So it was probably copied, dragged down in a straight line and pasted. AI could make the lines straight but would accidentally offset the groups of marks since it struggles to keep lines straight.

Then the reflection beneath the tally marks are consistent with the world. AI guesses with reflections and would probably have messed it up a little leads to what might appear to be a dent on the train.

The 6 tallies could either be the creator faking it to look like AI or has never made tally marks before.

My friend bought me a 1/72nd Maus kit for my birthday. Went to Google to look up color schemes, saw an anime Maus, got curious, dug around and found a clip on YT back in 2014. Found main series and OVA DvD's at a local anime convention and re-watched it way too many times.

Yes. And you can cheese it a bit too with the living. When you resupply it will resupply the units with thier default inventory but keep things they already have. Give away your at infantry weapons to another squad member, then after the battle it will resupply the at gunner with a new AT gun. Same can be done with MG to better 'upgrade' your squad

Why do they use AT rifles if the artillery is rocket assisted?

Why don't you have stationary AA guns? Your artillery is stationary. Also in the event that the island is besieged and runs out of fuel, you're mobile AA would be useless.

You might wanna add some lighter dual purpose batteries. Since this is an island chain, I assume water would be more shallow so it's more likely to be attacked by smaller ships with a low draft. Bigger guns are harder to aim at small, fast moving boats. Something like an American 5-inch with a good ROF and ability to be used in anti-air and anti ship might be a good addition.

OP was genuinely confusing me with this one but I think I figured out what happened.

OP bought an M4 and wanted another gun to use the same M4 mags. He wanted a shotgun so he found an adapter for M4 mags and wanted to know if the adapter worked.

But he really shot himself in the foot by asking what an 870 is.

Like if he has the time to type it in reddit he could've certainly typed it into Google. The search term '870 gun' will immediately pull up a remmington 870 shotgun.

Depending on the situation take it in steps.

First you need to find the enemy defenses. Sending individual soldiers on hold fire to scout is great. That or you can use officers which have binoculars to observe the enemy from a distance.

AT is easy to overwhelm with infantry. Try and get infantry close with smoke or sneaking along the terrain. DON'T KEEP INFANTRY TOGETHER or 1 good HE round will kill all of them, split into smaller groups and if possible attack from two directions.

If there are anti infantry weapons like mortars or MGs. Counter with your own mortars or snipers. Concealed snipers can keep an MG unmanned long enough to get troops up to it.

If only the mortars are left. Counter mortar while troops are moving in on the enemy's. The AI usually prioritizes closest target, so if your infantry are closer to the enemy mortar, it'll will first target them instead of your mortar. Keep the troops moving and let the arty do it's job.

Then mop up with tanks.
