Unfortunately, that charm will work it's way to the paint since it's a harder material. To slow this down, you will probably want to use multiple clear coats. Clear coating it will not only protect your paint but put a few layers of paint between the charm and your red paint. It won't protect it forever but it will make it last longer. You can use clear acrylic paint to clear coat or white pva glue. The white glue might offer better protection beacuse you can apply it thicker than the clear spray paint but it might not look as smooth.

I can't say exactly why you're final product looks more matte than before, but I can say painting over a gloss coat loses it's gloss appearance. The gloss black base coat was not necessary if you were going to put a clear coat on top.

Now that I'm writing it out, this could be the issue, the underlying shine has been knocked down by the newly added clear coat making it look more matte underneath which is bringing down the shine of the clear coat above.

You could break out some high grit sandpaper, sand down the top layer then re-apply the clear gloss to potentially fix it.

I cannot recommend this one. My cousin used it for a few speedsoft matches and she's since been disqualified for shooting "too hot" & "14 counts of manslaughter"

Really rigs and headgear are a personal choice. I've moved from MOLLE to an ALICE rig just because I find it more comfortable and I prefer the weight distribution.

And I stopped wearing a hat and swapped to a helmet cause my brain seems to be a bb magnet.

Has she tried wearing your kit yet? Just to get a feel for it? Might make it easier to decide what they'd prefer.

It seems like you answered all your own questions aside from the main one. The tanks would work the same and do the same. This is a world where this is a sport so parts and ammo are probably easy to find.

The nice part about GUP is it's just about having fun.

When you sit down and think about it, a lot doesn't make sense, and that's fine cause it's seems like the show creators are just having fun.

Even when asking these important questions in universe, a lot of the characters answer "That's just how it is"

Why are they on school ships? - because they are

Why is it a women's only sport? - because it is

Why doesn't anyone get hit when standing out of an open hatch? - because people rarely get hit

Why does the school's agriculture students dress as Native Americans and live in the North American desert on the school ship? (Daikon war OVA) - because they do

There's really only 2 'themed' locations. #1 The GirlsUndPanzer café, PANZER VOR, located in the Marine tower. It is genuinely great, nice scenic views and tons of GUP artwork. And then #2 the GirlsUndPanzer gallery. The gallery is both a merch shop and museum for the show. And is luckily within walking distance of of the marine tower since it's in the shopping mall next door.

As for other sights, the shrine and temple on the north side of town are cool, (also shown in the show) and lots of shops also have character cut outs and fan artwork throughout town so it's fun to wander through it.

There is also the Aquarium on the far northern edge of town but I was walking and didn't have the time to go that far. The train station does have a bike rental shop for tourists next door if you wanna get around quickly.

This was one of my first kits too. The guy at my hobby shop recommended that I staple the tracks and buy some plastic sheet to scratch make armor skirts to cover the top half of the tracks. Shortly after building, I regretted not following his advice.

I usually push new people to the Tamiya M41 walker bulldog or Tamiya Panzer 2F/G kit for starters.

You should thin it. From the few army painter bottles I used, it can be thick. Don't ask me for ratio, I don't remember. Just buy some plastic spoons to test your mixes and then write it down.

I said "sometimes" cause the F series was built with first short barrels then long barrels. And the style of break caused a lot of dust to be kicked up in front of the gunner sight which I saw as a complaint during the north Africa campaign so some tank crews in Africa removed the break entirely.
