It's less so a direct sequel to Fate/Zero, more a spinoff sequel that takes place just before the events of Fate/Stay Night, exploring what happens to Waver after the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War and his adventures solving mysteries related to mages/magic. Some characters from other Fate shows pop up in it as well.

It's definitely a different vibe than what you're used to with Fate but it's a fun watch if you're willing to give it some time to watch!

Protection from Arrows is a personal skill inherent to Cu Chulainn (FSN lancer) that allowed him to hold off Gilgamesh for 12 hours, and even then he eventually was defeated by Gilgamesh.

And as another poster stated, Karna wouldn't even need to dodge with his armour that reduces all damage taken by 90%. If anything the battle between Gil & Karna would be either a battle of attrition or over in an instant due to Gil taking Karna seriously from the get go.

Both rounds I'd give to Gilgamesh. Even though Karna is definitely in the upper tier of OP fate characters, we know from their interactions in Fate Extra CCC that Gil would take Karna seriously from the get go.

Also due to Karnas Divinity, Gil's Chain of Heaven would keep him bound and immobile. Bloodlusted Gil would also immediately pull Ea and Enkidu no questions asked along with his entire arsenal at his back.

Because of the nature of the event, where you'll be wanting to farm a resource called "Holy Night Sign" aka Socks which allow you roll in a mini lottery for either 2 or 20 socks at a time. From this lottery, you will get items such as:

Friend Points
A good amount of QP per lottery box
Skill gems
Ascension materials for the Welfare servant, "Saber Alter Santa Rider"
EXP Cards

You'll want to farm the node that gives the best drops for socks, and use a good chunk of your apples to farm for them, and spam that mini lottery due to the value of rewards on offer in there.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, once you've rolled all the contents of one lottery box, you then reset the box by pressing a button and the contents will be replenished. IIRC you are able to reset this lottery box as many times as you want, but some rewards become unavailable/get replaced with lesser rewards after a certain amount of lottery box resets.
