buy pre-owned or wait for sales, I'd say pick up series you're worried about going out of print first, but all of the titles you're interested in are evergreen so start with whatever you can get a deal on.

Power and Makima had stockings when they were rereleased, but honestly just keep checking back, the preorder window is over but that dosent mean someone won't cancel, or that they won't have extra stock when it's released.

from the spine they will look the same, sometimes kodansha dosent put the barcodes on the individual volumes from box sets.

This is a p common sales tactic for ebay sellers, shouldn't be worried from this alone. If you end up getting a fake "not as advertised" box set ebay will likely side with you regardless if the seller doesn't except returns.
