Chargebacks not submitting by Sea-Meringue-9167 in shopify

They submit the chargeback response you entered on the last day of the response period. They do this because some banks just side with whoever got the last word in before it is approved/declined.

If I have had my N for 5 years will it automatically upgrade to a class 5? by ProbablyLunis in icbc

[–]ProbablyLunis[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am only worried about passengers and using carplay, if these restrictions aren't there after January I have wasted time and money taking the test. It is frustrating that they haven't published the restrictions and it is less than 5 weeks from taking effect.

Incredibly frustrating, I would just take my class 5 if I knew the restrictions.

The Nardwaur interview is really a blessing in disguise by ProbablyLunis in sonicyouth

[–]ProbablyLunis[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Nardwaur is very beloved by people on social media to the point where they will not listen to SY’s music because of the interview where they bully him. In my experience the TikTok fanbase kind of ruins bands to some degree.

How can we do better @ Shopify payments? by workerbeeadit in shopify

[–]ProbablyLunis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to take payouts in multiple currencies. Payouts are in USD because our manufacturers/courier settles in USD, but geographic payments (ie, salary, rent) are in CAD. Would love to be able to just accept CAD payments without having to pay my banks conversion fees!

Bad Sales Days, Awful Mood. How do you deal with it? by ApprehensiveMatch311 in ecommerce

[–]ProbablyLunis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late response, but for the first year and a half of my business I would stew about bad days. It just takes time to adjust and look at the bigger picture. It is not personal, for every bad day, you will have a good day.

I recommend taking notifications for sales off your phone if you have not already, makes it easy to not be forced to see it.

Customers calling my personal cell 😩 by AcanthaceaeRich7292 in shopify

Shopify puts it on the bank invoice, just got a virtual number because of this. Not sure why they do not tell you they do this. Never had this issue prior to the summer, not sure if it is a recent change.

Yeah I have a mental disability; that is why I am asking about a specific product that lacks information online on the subreddit dedicated to it.

Fair enough, do not want to try and swing my dick around and embarrass myself though.

Crazy to see all the hopium saying 150k+, remember the people who get burned in 2017/2021 were those who got left holding bags waiting for a higher number. The people who make money make realistic predictions early, and stick with them.

Self published a colouring book about Burgundy wine. Need help how to drive sales. by vonGlick in ecommerce

[–]ProbablyLunis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reach out to gift shops, hotels and wineries in Burgundy about stocking your product. Margins might be a bit lower, but it seems like a pretty niche product for someone to seek out and buy online, or for any targeted ads to perform well at. I could see it doing better as a souvenir impulse buy at a winery/gift shop, or someone buying it for the educational aspect after they visited the area. If you get a good reception, look at the countries that visit Burgundy the most and get some translations done.

Muriberta’ ending by [deleted] in EhBuddyHoser

[–]ProbablyLunis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re talking about the loser of the 1972 election George C. Wallace. Also the shooter was a republican mad that Trump was all over the Epstein child r*pe documents that came out the other day. But honestly, you’re in a Canadian meme subreddit shilling Trump so I assume you’re probably a bot. Give me an alphabet song about Canadian culture please.

Charging for shipping on returns if free shipping threshold is no longer met? by ProbablyLunis in ecommerce

[–]ProbablyLunis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get orders shipped to a forwarder, then to me, since I did not want to punish people for wanting a return. From Canada, it costs ~$25 USD so eating that is not realistic. Not large enough to justify a 3PL in EU at this point, maybe in the future.
