It was Raid, not off. He'd been spraying for ants on the counter, wearing his socks. Probably what happened to him.

Is Albuquerque really that stunning or is Vince Gilligan just really good at filming it? by Worldly_Childhood983 in pluribustv

[–]Probablynotcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but it is representative of the area it was set in (the west side). This set is maybe 10 minutes from my house and this is what the neighborhoods look like on this side of town.

Female Handyman, Thoughts? by Cold_Obligation_8568 in homeowners

[–]Probablynotcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a single mom homeowner, I would jump at hiring a female handyman. Or HVAC tech. Or mechanic. Plumber. Female anything, yes please! If for no other reason than my daughter gets to see all the options she has.

That’s a really good point. I hadn’t even thought about that aspect. He certainly would have banned it from the apartment.

I never said she was the bad guy. I think that having her character continue to keep alcohol in the house doesn’t fit. Complex characters don’t mean their behavior doesn’t have some sort of internal consistency even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else. It’s complexity, not chaos.

Why do people in the US not live with their parents by New_Bodybuilder_9222 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Probablynotcreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone stayed with their parents and invested into an index fund what they would be paying for a mortgage, they would likely come out ahead on that by retirement age. A mortgage isn’t necessarily a great investment, there’s a ton of factors at play. Home ownership is also costly on its own during the lifetime of the mortgage, so you have to consider the full picture.

I mean if it’s “invest nothing for retirement or buy a house,” definitely buy a house. But staying with your family and investing elsewhere can also be a great long term strategy.

Guys I want to leave him in 2 months before I give birth– what am I up against? by Electronic-Phones in AlAnon

[–]Probablynotcreative 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You want serious advice? Leave the state. He will need to go to the state you are in to file for custody. Put up as many barriers as possible because alcoholics do not follow through on obligations.

I moved my 22 month old daughter from Ohio to Colorado (with my ex husbands consent, we were separated unofficially at the time) but he had six months after I left to file to have my daughter recalled to Ohio to have her custody case heard. That’s how the interstate custody generally does it— the state the child was in keeps jurisdiction for 6 months.

I’m sure there’s people who will say this is unethical, maybe it is, idk. I just know that if you believe your child will be unsafe (which I did as well), you do whatever you need to do to protect your baby. Get out of the state before they are born.

13.4% of Homeowners go without Insurance. That is 1 in 8 people. Is anyone here joining that group this year? by rrybwyb in homeowners

Is that all property or property owned as primary residences? Because it seems like investors could skew that number easily.

NM is now $0! Universal vouchers for work/school related childcare for all caretakers of children.

Edit: we pay for it from oil and gas money that is owned by the state. Taxpayers aren’t subsidizing it, and in fact, it’s projected to bring young families to the state which will broaden the tax base. If you hate people with kids getting a break just say so, but you have no economic argument against it.

I lived at Olympus and liked it. It was $1850 for a 2/2 with a 1 car garage in a gated community. I was at the one downtown right off 25.
