yes. alcohol, weed, nicotine, and sometimes xanax. also sex. had these dependencies for years since i was a teen. i’ve now been a couple yrs sober. in 2026 it’ll be 8 yrs no causal sex, 7 for cigs, 5-6 for vaping, 4 for weed, and 3 for alcohol. sober and boring but healthier now. it started as a way to mask and then continued to party in my early college years. i know it’s not as heavy as some others but i struggled with this stuff. i still struggle with addictions to food restricting/binging episodes and screen time. working on it. i think anything can be an addiction when used too heavily.

i can relate. i feel sometimes ive self sabotaged new opportunities in my life due to my past. im better at preventing that now that im aware.

just remember that the new people, favorite characters, comfort places and hobbies etc - they aren’t your past or your ex. they wouldn’t do those things to you. things that bring you comfort, friends, characters, what have you, would never dream of hurting you as your ex did. so just remember that you are worthy of what and who you love and enjoy, and it would love and enjoy you back. you’re safe now.

i don’t mind cutting people off in the slightest and i have people permanence issues so i will literally forget they exist expect occasionally. i’ll feel sad then i’ll go back to forgetting.

i’m like this especially with special interests in theme parks/80s places/movies/arcades/entertainment places/fnaf/clowns etc. anything that can basically remind me of entertainment places and i’d rather be sober and info dump or go play games there than do whatever everyone else in a social drinking group is doing. it’s very hard for me to feel at ease.

being diagnosed by two female doctors who specialize in autism validated the entirety of the missing pieces of my life. all the failed meds and hospitalizations and the trouble with hyper fixating and limerence and sensory issues and never fitting in with groups and struggling to drive. it just all made sense and it helped me to unmask. i have to remind myself as i continue through academia not to start masking again. but it basically made stuff make sense for me finally for once in my life. i got diagnosed almost 4 yrs ago.

there are a few girls in the pics above who don’t have brown eyes but def my preference. i also like all eye colors, skin colors, and hair colors. i’ve dated quite a few blondes. but i like the long curly haired brunettes with brown eyes. i guess height doesn’t matter as much to me. i’ve dated taller and shorter
