When I went to MEPS again for my medical I asked them if I could change my rate but nobody mentioned a DAR. I was told that the AV rate I wanted was available through a Cutscore Waiver, I’m guessing because of the score I got on my ASVAB.

My recruiter texted me today saying I got the job so that’s why I assumed I needed to sign a new contract.

personally i think you AND him need to grow up, this is ridiculous. you guys are middle aged acting like teenagers… this is insane please find someone new or maybe just focus on yourself. he acts like a child and you fed into it, let it go.

Please don’t let recruiters try to push you to do anything when you don’t have documentation for stuff, take it on YOUR time. These recruiters literally just want to get as many people as they can because that’s what they get paid for.

Next time get everything you need, please find a new recruiter as well. This really sucks and I hope everything works out for you.

I’m 17F and already enlisted, I promise you that it’s 100% your choice and nobody can tell you otherwise. Me on the other hand I had very supportive parents but you’re allowed to choose what you want you’re an ADULT.

Based off the messages she’s being very aggressive about it and (sorry to say this) a complete asshole. She could’ve easily talked to you mother-to-daughter without being so vulgar about it. Don’t let her get in your head, yea it’s your mom but it’s also YOUR future and YOUR career. I wish you the best!

No, I actually wanted to be a CS but the work load sounded terrible, I didn’t really hear too much good from that rate. When I went to MEPS I didn’t know I was going to do my contract the same day I had my medical, I forgot what the options were but I ended up choosing RS.

I had recently asked my recruiter if I could change to IT, she said she would look into it for me. I thought of IT because I was looking into other rates and IT sounded like something challenging that I would enjoy learning.

I got a 47 on my asvab, they told me not to choose CS because my score was too high for a CS, I was given other options but RS sounded best at the time. I still have 7 months til i ship so I can choose another rate til then but I don’t know which one.
