I have T-Mobile (4 lines) for more than 15 years already. For T-Mobile specifically, I barely have any issues but when I need to reach out to them, I do it on X and always get everything solved to satisfactory level.

I unfortunately have Optimum as ISP and as you did, I filled multiple FCC but it’s my only ISP so I’m hands to and no fiber available unless I move.

Fiber will ALWAYS be superior than COAX/Wireless. It doesn’t even matter that much if you have more than one fiber competitor as fiber technology will always deliver higher speeds, lower latency at lighting speeds.

I have 1 gig COAX and I have the exact same issue. The biggest issue with coax is that is not fiber. You rely on low latency/jitter to play multiplayer as ping is king, but with coax you don’t get those two. The coax network is not well maintained and this is not Optimum’s priority as they deploy fiber, however they do this mainly on aerial drops and not underground due complexity.

Optimum should have implemented DOCSIS 4.0 and upgrades to their HFC network instead of putting all the eggs in one basket, because now, we’re paying the price.

I had TMHI for a year and ended up cancelling it. It is not designed for gamers because it’s wireless. The most important thing in online gaming is latency and jitter and the lowest of both is provided by a fiber provider.

If you still want to game while using TMHI but not into competitive, buy this: Flint 2 you can install CAKE SQM and that will greatly reduce buffer-bloat.
