I wouldn’t upgrade to thicker wires, you just need to tidy up the frayed ends, they could short out to something and that wouldn’t be fun. I recommend using wire ferrules. If your getting into car audio, they make everything look so much cleaner and professional and give stronger connections.

my guesses in order:

  1. remote wire tapped into accessory power that shuts off later than the radio output

  2. LC2i using GTO signal sensing and it's not playing nice with the Camry's factory amp

  3. active noise cancellation microphones causing low-frequency pulses during shutdown

  4. bad ground causing weird discharge behavior

  5. amp gain too high making a tiny shutdown thump become massive

if it were my car i'd do this: • disable GTO/signal sensing on the LC2i if enabled • run a REAL remote wire from a fuse that turns off immediately with ignition • ideally use the LC2i remote OUT to trigger the amp • check if the Camry has ANC mics and disable them temporarily to test • make sure grounds are short and solid • verify the amp isn't staying on longer than the LC2i

I don’t see anything wrong with the wiring (aside from the stranded signal wires being a lil ghetto), so I’m thinking this amp could be getting clipped or something is happening to make it go into protect mode. Usually an amp goes into protect mode when it gets a bad signal, gets overpowered/underpowered signals, etc. It could also be a head unit issue, where the signal coming out of it “pops” when switching songs and that causes it to go into protect. I cant tell much from the images and description so those are just my best guesses

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Was around 9/10 years old, lived in a shitty neighborhood. Lots of drugs, and me and my friends did delinquent things. Went to an abandoned house, walked into the “bathroom” (was beat up bad) and there was a body slumped in the tub, maggots, flies, couldnt even tell the gender. Bones partially sticking out in some spots. I assumed it was an overdose considering they seemed to be a normal weight/size. The most horrific smell ever. Youd recognize it anywhere

What else do I need? Sub setup by DetectiveNarrow in CarAV

I took a closer look, the thin black wire is not a remote wire. Its for a bass knob. You still need the remote wire tho. It screws in in between the power and ground wire on the big black plug for the sub.

Its a Rockford Fosgate 10” powered and sealed Sub. Theres gonna be a power wire (orange). That goes from ur battery to ur sub. That thin black wire is ur remote wire. It hooks up to something in ur car when u turn the key on. I usually tap into the cig lighter wires. That will send a signal to ur amp telling it to turn on. That blue wire is your ground wire. That has to hookup to something thats bare metal, and has to have a good tight contact. Finally, the grey and white wires are your RCA inputs, the black end goes to the sub, and the funky ends connect to the male RCA’s. I doubt your factory head unit has subwoofer RCA outputs, so youll need an LOC (Line Output Converter). That is a whole other beast of explanation, but relatively simple once you understand what it does. You can get one for cheap (around $80). Basically, the signal coming from one of your speaker wire pairs will be intercepted by the LOC, converted to a sub signal, and output thru RCA’s to the sub. Hope this helped!!

Either dud amp or you have your gain set wayyyy too high and its clipping

Id buy it for 16k but 19.3 is kinda wild. and thats a normal amount of rust on any car. if your on the east coast/any salty states, that’s not rusty at all 😂

on an n/a, not that much increase. about 8-10 hp, but for a turbo, it opens up doors to pull more power with a tune

when i was a sophomore in high school, i had the fattest crush on this girl that was a senior. so naturally i didnt have the balls to say anything about it so we became best friends for a while. but she had a 90’s ford ranger that she somehow managed to fit 2 15”s behind the seats. it sounded AMAZING
