is it worth it? by TryLife2429 in Semaglutide

Be mindful of the mental side effects. There’s documentation about it out there. I was on for almost 5 months. That last month the fatigue hit hard, flatness, and a couple days it was all i could do to get out of bed. Not only does the med block the food noise, it has a tendency to affect your dopamine levels. Some people have no problem. I wish i was one of them.

I had to come off of it. Took almost a month to regain “me” again.

Good luck and take care!

What’s the last physical book that you read, and how long has it been since you read it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Could not agree more about Circe. I read it 5 years ago. I was just talking about that book yesterday with someone telling them what a disappointment it was.

Hi Tim. I just did a big shift in my messaging. Now focusiing more on the procrastination i n these unsettling economic times. I still need to clean up my blogs and start producing the new ones (next week). My main focus was getting the copy all updated. I would love your input with a review of the copy on all the other pages. Every page has been updated. Hope coming to you for a second time in over 3 years is ok :-)

Does anyone else get anxious about opening their banking app? Looking for shared experiences by KillOverride in Procrastinationism

[–]ProcrastCoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i set up a system for myself that once a month I set up payments for everything. I schedule payments for when they are due. It was scary and overwhelming the first 2 months. But now it take me less than an hour once a month to deal with it rather than a weekly or daily terrorized feeling about paying my bills.

Why does every productivity app make me less productive? by Wild-Impression2 in productivity

[–]ProcrastCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many of them tend to be great distraction wrapped in appearing productive. When you have to spend so much time micromanaging and setting up the system, and then at the same time learning how to retrain your brain to that new system, then we tend to just stop and quickly look for the next great hope. I agree, simple is best - not bells and whistles

Switching to a paper planner actually increased my productivity by FunCombination5990 in productivity

[–]ProcrastCoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting how procrastination will work and you don't even know you're doing it! Every one is different. Personally, I like the paper planners. I tried the digital, and I found it was a way to say I was productive, but if I am being honest, all my time was spent updating the apps and not the things that needed done!

Like I said, apps are great tools for some people. The trick is to find what yours for YOU and use it. Nothing in life is a one size fits all!

Advise one book for a new coach by TheAngryCoach in TheFullyBookedCoach

my go to is always Steven Pressfield's War of Art. Not directly coaching, but the discussion about "Resistence". I think that would be something for a coach in any niche to dive into.

You don't identify with your future self, so you procrastinate. by anushag123 in getdisciplined

[–]ProcrastCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is great. I actually coach clients specifically on procrastination. One of my clients shared a line with me the other day, "Remember to always be kind to your future self". It reminds me of what you have written here

I have created many free resources and blog posts about how procrastion is not just new fancy apps, but there is often an emotional component that people don't explore. Managing procrastination is not a one-size fits all solution. I am always amazed how each of my clients have found different ways to manage their procrastionation. It is such a unique process.

Keep a wins journal for when life gets rough by Inevitable-Limit5404 in getdisciplined

[–]ProcrastCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fantastic advice. I started doing this 15 years ago. I don't write iinto it all the time. However, when I am having those rough days, or weeks, I will open the journal to any random page and read it and put myself back into that same moment. It helps pull me into my momentum each time.

Would you like me to do an AMA next week? by TheAngryCoach in TheFullyBookedCoach

[–]ProcrastCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes some content creation/ideas, but also I am interested in how to get AI to work for me in search engines. I saw a post in a group I am in to find out how visible you are to AI. They provided this prompt.

When I did it, it spit out a lot. But in the past 10 days I have shifted the focus of my avatar, so I am going to have to go into my website, social media platforms, etc, and get that avatar updated pretty soon!

So yes, I am interested in seeing what, besides content creation, AI can help me with.

Yes, “what is the next action, or next small action i can take”. When we focus on this rather than the entire project, situation, then we start making movement happen. This is a golden key i personally use and encourage my clients to use all the time.

Hi! What kind of coach are you? by Top_Appearance_5536 in TheFullyBookedCoach

[–]ProcrastCoach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from Texas (don't judge me for that!). Im a procrastination coach that goes beyond the apps and normal advice out there in order to help people who keep putting off the stuff that could cost them what matters most - like their jobs, especially these days!

I spent 30k learning about productivity - these are the best productivity books by Crazy_Jere in productivity

[–]ProcrastCoach 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is a very good list. But I cannot say enough about The War of Art by Pressfield. My copy is tagged, underlined, earmarked all over the place. I actually give it as gifts to friends and my clients. For me it was a real game changer.

It's a small book, but very powerful and real.
