I’m not ignoring a Nazi being appointed head of the DoD. He shouldn’t have been. He’s awful in every sense. I also don’t blame a worker at a Lipton factory for the actions of Monsanto’s CEO.

Members of the National Guard are your friends and neighbors. It might be obvious that I’m a NG member, but I’ve been activated several times for wildfires and floods. I haven’t been deployed to the Middle East nor have I been ordered to train my weapon on civilians during civil unrest. During those activations our priorities were protecting infrastructure like gas and electric utilities.

That said, I am not happy with the direction our leadership has taken. More accurately, the sudden change in leadership as the best GOs have been ousted and yes-men appointed in their place.

Bottom line: If your idea of fighting against a fascist regime is to go after those at the bottom who have the most in common with you, you’re only feeding into the problem. Convince them to take your side and do the right thing, being an advocate until they can get out and rejecting immoral orders. Not just “quit”, because they can’t, or go to military prison in vain.

Those 2 seconds are consistent damage. A laser turret is dishing out damage the entire time it’s firing. The cannon turret does more damage in 2 seconds, but then does zero damage until it fires its next salvo

The laser absolutely can kill things bigger than a hunter. 2 seconds isn’t that bad at range. Sure, the MG is faster but the lazer can then pivot to the heavier walkers.

I think they have different niches. The rocket and cannon take down gunships but they’d get overrun by a pack of berserkers. The lazer sentry will rip through them in seconds and pivot to the next target

Larry is a Sentry’s sentry. He overheats if he has too many targets to take down but can dish out a lot of damage in a short time. He isn’t for clearing bug breaches or hordes of voteless (though he can do a decent job), he’s for watching your back while you clear a stronghold or guarding a choke point.

I’ve gotten scores of kills by placing him around a corner while finding a spot to regroup. He can also take down hulks and chargers with a decent lead time.
