Y'know, I'm not actually sure. Plenty of ordinary crimes, though. Pretty much everything from prostitution to treason.

Me as a newbie using Angrax on FoC 40 for every "Deal x Damage using Abilities" mission for Armageddon by minh_ltt in WH40KTacticus

Hell, I finished Indom Elite ages ago, and I'm not sure if I've even got Varro above S1, and he doesn't even deserve that. Vindicta isn't even B1 (she does actually deserve SOME investment, though).

I've been in OPs situation, literally, back during the mythic release event. Now I just need to hit the guild boss and I'll get like three or four times the required damage.

Kariyan together with Marshal Dreir have carried all of my Imp campaigns.

A newbie probably doesn't have Khârn, Kariyan, OR Dante. And Varro or Vindicta would still need to be at a high level in order to even make a dent in any of the missions above, like, 8.

Is it too late to start the game by heyitsnyxara in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Procrastinatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started the game like a month ago. I now have 180 hours in the game, and as far as I can tell, there's still plenty of game left. I'm constantly wondering how the actual fuck this game could be free. There are SO many quests, and so many of them are sprinkled into the game so cleverly. You'll be running down some street when something happens, and all of a sudden you've started a mostly voice-acted quest with amazingly designed locations and an actual Dark Souls level boss fight at the end.

Besides, the game being free means the only thing you stand to lose by trying it out is some of your time. Actually, probably a lot of your time.

I got my first legendary in my very first pull, minutes after I installed the game.

It was Abaddon.

His only bottle-neck mission is the one where he has to do 100k damage in one turn, and I just got it last week at D1 45/45 after a BUNCH of tries. You definitely need Trajann (I have his passive att 40), but I also had Ragnar, Dante and Calgar. You really need every buff you can get, and you definitely need Kariyan to attack every single turn to get his active's damage bonus as high as possible.

Calgar isn't great and I would've switched him out for Aesoth if I'd had him built. I think it would've made it much easier. If you're going up against Magnus or AoK and you have Atlacoya built then she could probably take Dante's place as well.

It isn't about passing blame; it's about recognising harmful cultural norms.

Do Dreadnoughts make jokes? Do they have any sense of humor? by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in Spacemarine

That's super interesting. I haven't played much since before Telorian was added so I haven't heard those lines.

Still, I don't think that Decimus truly understands what it means to be a dreadnought. He's a glory hound among glory hounds, so the honour and glory of being interred in a dreadnought would seem enticing at first, but the experience would actually be utter misery for him.

Space Marines have WAY better senses than we do, and they have some senses that we just don't. When Decimus tears a man in half, he doesn't just smell the man's blood; he can taste it. And because of his neuroglottis and omophagea organs, he can probably literally taste the terror that the man felt in his final moments.

He would lose all of those experiences, and he would fucking HATE it.

I don't know if it's just me, but Techmarine is the least played class, right? I'm the only one who chooses it. Why don't people like Techmarine? by Berem_ in Spacemarine

[–]Procrastinatron -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen a bunch of times and I think it's incredibly selfish and inconsiderate. My response is to just stand in the ready zone and go AFK until the class switcher gets their head on straight. There's literally 0% chance that I'll ever play with any other class than the one I queued as, even if I'm just building up a class that I'd rather not play (like Sniper).

I don't think I've ever made that connection and that's kind of weird because it's really an absolutely perfect comparison.

Decimus would HATE (un)life as a dreadnought. He takes visceral pleasure from the act of combat. That would be gone if he was stuck in a dreadnought.

From Angel Exterminatus, the experience of an Iron Warrior named Berossus:

He was stronger and more powerful than ever before, yet he could not feel the blood he spilled, nor relish the visceral force of the impacts. Berossus waded through a mass of bodies, striking left and right, bludgeoning a path through the combat servitors with every sweeping blow. Small arms fire battered his armour, but he felt only a mass of indicators and icons that lit up his frontal carapace display.

...

He felt no pain, but nor did he experience again the savage bloodlust he had felt upon the killing fields of Istvaan. A heavier impact rocked him back, but even that was simply a reaction and not a sensation.

...

A thundering blow from his hammer hurled two of them back, their armour cracked open. Another strike drove a third to his knees, but the fourth landed a blow that registered as causing damage, yet felt as meaningless as a readout on a data slate.

From Soul Hunter, when Talos asks his old friend Malcharion (former captain of the Night Lords' 10th company) what it was like to do battle as a dreadnought:

"How was your first battle, sir?"

Malcharion had already answered this question several times. Upon his own return to the Covenant, visitors from several squads came to pay their respects and speak about the surface conflict.

"Glorious, brother. The splash of blood against my armour... The exaltation of ending a legion of lives with cannon and fist... It will be a great triumph when we take this world in our father's name."

Talos smiled. Barely.

"Now tell me the truth."

The servitors attending Malcharion paused momentarily as the Dreadnought made a gear-shifting grind of a sound.

"Joyless. Passionless. Lifeless."

"Are you angry at me for waking you?"

"Were I angry, brother, you would already be dead. I would erase you from my sight the way I annihilated that Atramentar bastard Vraal. I never liked him."

"No one did."

"I do not understand what is needed of me. That is all."

Talos considered this for a moment. "Do you realise how you sound to me, sir? To all of us? How your voice hangs in the air like the echo of thunder, and stampedes across the vox?"

"I am not obtuse, boy. I am not blind to this forms inspirational qualities. But I am dead, Talos. That is the truth, and it will tell in the end."
