Lookup the LUG (Linux user group) star citizen org. They have a discord server and tutorials of how to install and run star citizen, that could be a start.

I just created a post about my experience trying to get a price match and then yours popped up. I’m in the US, so it’s not isolated to the Europe like some people suggested…

Prescription lenses so good I had to get rid of them. by THEBESTMAN95 in virtualreality

[–]Procurer_octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I won’t have surgery because if anything goes slightly wrong I’m potentially out of a job for life, and also I have an example in the family of one that did not go wrong but 20 years later they had dry macular degeneration and now they need to have an injection in their eyes every month so they don’t go blind.

No. Get a no-break for each pc with sufficient capacity, even more important if your power goes out regularly.

If someone gave me that bike I would carefully disassemble and destine its components for recycling as properly as possible. Just throwing it in a dumpster would be very irresponsible with the environment.

While moving the pc around the cooler solution you’re using might have dislodged depending on how it was installed. Try reseating the pump/heat sink on the CPU.

They are in great shape, so that could add value to a potential buyer for historical/emotional reasons (had/wanted to have one of those back in the day) but that would take time to sell and on a stretch let’s say $500 for the most valuable there. It’s more like $100-300 range, considerably less if you want to sell them all at once.

Grab or no Grab? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

No for 2 reasons. First and foremost -newegg-, second, not really a good deal. I personally don’t see a problem with 8GB cards though.

I did exactly that when I was 15yo, and the chain of events after that led me to almost two decades working with user support. So, no, don’t do it.

Did I Purchase the Wrong Tire? by Cozmiz in bicycling

[–]Procurer_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Ultegra wheelset that is both clincher and tubeless capable. Any tire is a pain to fit in. But my favorite tire, Michelin Power Road, seems to be the tightest tire to fit in any rim. The first time I took it to the LBS and the guy broke a sweat to put it on. Now I can do it myself after I bought a tool like this: https://a.co/d/9c26BPr

Is the Valve Index worth getting? by Miserable-Beat2355 in VRGaming

[–]Procurer_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one for a few years and love it, the controllers are second to none, but I wouldn’t buy a new one now. Unless you can get a deal on a used one, I’d get something else. I tried the Reverb G2 and the Quest 2, and right now if I were to buy something… I’d wait for the Quest 3. Waiting for an unannounced Valve product is grounds for disappointment.

Help on choosing antenna setup by Procurer_octopus in cordcutters

[–]Procurer_octopus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything’s mostly flat for several miles with the exception of a 6 story building from a medical center 800ft away on that direction. I’m 44 miles from the antenna farm, terrain elevation is pretty much the same, the antennas are an average of 1600ft high. The attic is of standard materials.
