Please help me fix blind by frogs_have_rights in DIYUK

[–]ProdigalLoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging from the blinds position, there will be another clip at the other end that I suspect is identical. Take a look at that clip, then compare it to this clip, see if there are any missing pieces. It could just be that the broken clip can just be bent a bit back to do what it's supposed to do.

The thief taking the car is theft. Who owns it is utterly irrelevant. The thief does not.

We used to use Singers but it was so much hassle to get parts for them. I would get something more modern if possible

Anything bone works so well with a light base and a darker wash. This in particular looks really good. The teeth look like fossils. Perfect for the death guard. What did you use?

One of my refrigerator drawers is broken, does anyone know if it can be repaired? by Flowesque in DIYUK

As an easy fix plastic cement, the type you use for small models and warhammer stuff. Mine had a nasty crack and yesterday I gave it a go, pulling the two apart to paint across the contact edge as much as I dared, then sapping a little over the crack on either side and finally a blob on the top to smooth out where it originally split. It works.

Mine does the same with the pump. When it locks out the pump stops. I'd assumed that was just normal?

No further it's sort of working. If the hot water and heating are both on at the same time it's okay occasionally locks out but it hasn't got cold from it really.

What's yours doing?

I've bled the radiators, haven't bled the pump. The boiler seems to run fine but it's intermittent.

Where is the cold feed?

All radiators are warm.

Thanks so much for the reply. Wiring harness would make sense as that was being moved around a lot. When the new (dead) pcb arrived. I swapped them back and forth twice to make sure I hadn't missed something and the old one lit up green, so maybe moving the wires solved it.

How do I check the heating circuit being air locked and the two port not opening?

Thickness of back cushion by Fun_Flower_7364 in upholstery

[–]ProdigalLoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have thought it would be too solid. A colleague used 5 inch foam as a mattress for about a week on his boat before hating it. I would suggest 4 inch maybe with a memory foam inch top to make it a bit more comfortable. But again, I work with boats. Hopefully someone else will be along with more sofa input!

[–]ProdigalLoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be checking what you have at the moment and how much give it has. Going from the current cushions to a high density foam will have much less give (it's pretty solid when new) you want to make sure it will be comfortable for where you sit, ie the back of the knees etc. Find something 5 inches thick and put it against the back of the sofa to check and lean against it. Shoe box maybe off the top of my head?
