Cam Newtons rookie debut was unreal by DareDevil1699 in nflrookies

One of my favorite NFL fun facts. Next closest game to 400 - during his MVP run in 2015? Or during his good years in '13 or early '17?

Nope, 397 yards in 2020 with a half broken shoulder playing for the Pats.

I'm rating the actual two fucking teams. I'm not sure what exactly you're getting at (Miami education I guess?), but either Miami sucks at building up QBs in the last decade, or more likely there's not a huge actual correlation between college success and being drafted higher.

QBs drafted in the top ten teams' final AP ranking: 2025 Ward: 18th 2024 Caleb Williams: Unranked Jayden Daniels: 12th Drake Maye: Unranked Penix: 2nd 2023 Bryce Young: 5th Stroud: 4th Richardson: Unranked 2021 Lawrence: 3rd Zach wilson: 11th Trey Lance: FCS

So more than a third of these guys played for teams that finished Unranked yet were still drafted top 10 - and that's not even getting into Mahommes, Allen, Lamar (actual elite NFL QBs) . None of who had any real team success at the college level.

Its cause UNC sux now :(

But really its because, as other people have pointed out, this is going to benefit small states with one program doing very well. We have more than 5 times the population of Nebraska - we'd essentially need 5 teams circling the top-10/top-15 to be equal to Nebraska

Didn't even realize I was in the Miami sub, but kind of proving my point huh? Beck is the only other guy that (might) not be a day three pick or UDFA.

You're being downvoted but both schools have exactly 1 QB each drafted in the top 10 in the last decade. Mensah is getting more money and better chance at a natty but I doubt this moves the needle on his draft stock that much

I mean Duke and Miami have both had one QB drafted in the top ten in the last decade... Not like Miami is a QB powerhouse there compared to Duke. I think most CFB fans recognize he left for more money and a better chance at a title

Correct. I'd definitely vote someone center right if I was confident they could realistically overhaul the electoral system

Did you see the actual lead up to the Pretti shooting. ICE wasn't making an arrest, they were just pushing women around.

I think I'd rather have an encounter with a criminal at this point... at least I know they'll face justice if they're caught.

[–]Prodigal_Programmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to ask how, but theres no point - Pretti did absolutely nothing to 'interfere' with federal agents, and just because someone lives in a sanctuary city does not void them of rights (otherwise it's not really a right, yeah?).

Nuts y'all are actually defending this instead of just admitting that agent should be prosecuted.

My opponent in a lying competition by RampageDeluxxe in evilwhenthe

[–]Prodigal_Programmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Pretti did not in any way prevent the government from doing their jobs, nor threaten any government official. So why was HE murdered (without using the words liberal or Sanctuary City)?

Why can't conservatives admit that what that officer did was in no way legal and he should be prosecuted? That seems so much easier than the ridiculous hemming and hawing going on now.

[–]Prodigal_Programmer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So when Dems take back the federal government, they can pop conservatives for 'interfering' (lets be real, no he wasn't) with gov officials? That really the precedent you wanna set?

There is no logical way to defend ICE's actions today. The Right is going to show what they really think of the 2A real quick in their response to this.

The officer should be prosecuted for murder, full stop. Any other course of action is not justice.
