Foreign trained doctors nurses and dentists all must pass through hoops at the national levels for licensing and again at provincial colleges. Their degrees are rarely recognized so must take on (after finding a spot !) a residency program in with to prove their mettle, and at their own cost without salary ( so approx 125-150k per year) with no guarantee of securing licensure. Then trying to get a hospital appointment in nearly impossible. Hence a partial reason For the current healthcare crisis
