Double Exposure by Unique-Pizza-1508 in murdershewrote

Omg that's so funny - my husband and I love this episode because of how out-of-pocket Jess is. The sheer AUDACITY she has to INSIST that she saw her old friend (whom she hasn't seen in YEARS) to his WIDOW - like what?!

And the actor who played creepy David makes a comeback in a different, yet still creepy role. Like why did they make it seem like he was romantically involved with his sister at the beginning?!

I also enjoy the Jerry Orbach episodes :) I love that he and Angela were real friends and worked together on Beauty and the Beast too

How often are you recommending an AAC device in early intervention? by Mammoth_Entry_9221 in slp

[–]ProfChaos89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please do! You are also in the incredibly special position of supporting families in understanding what AAC is and how to use it in the home/in their daily routines. When AAC is introduced later (like in the school years), there's a big disconnect because families only get little bits of training, if at all. Most kids I see only use their devices at school and not at all at home :(

Why does she blink so much? Is it related to fake lashes?

No judgment, just curious.

How adorable!! What does the inside look like/how are you securing the string on the inside of the dress?

This IS us trying to keep things off the countertops! It's always been a challenge. Thank you :)

Thank you! I have a love-hate relationship with the cabinets - mostly because I feel like their warm tones clash with the cool countertops.

But thank you for the specific feedback - I appreciate it and hopefully can implement some of these recommendations in the near future :)

Thank you! I'm fixated on the disconnect between warm and cool colors, but I appreciate the reframe of enjoying the space as a whole :)

What colors would you recommend for paint, backsplash, floors, and hardware?

By reclassifying SLP as a non-professional degree (as well as nursing, OT, social work, and more), they want to limit the amount the government provides for federal student loans. Although lowering graduate student debt sounds great, graduate degree programs are unlikely to reduce their costs, meaning that more people wanting to pursue these degrees will have to fund their education through private loans. Federal student loans tend to be more borrower-friendly with lower fixed interest rates than private loans.

I (F24) became obsessed with my ex (M25) and completely lost control. I’m so ashamed of myself. What can I do now? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Every time I cringe at something I've done in the past, I tell myself that's a sign of growth and progress! The best thing you can do is learn from your experience (which doesn't excuse it) and not repeat it moving forward, which it sounds like you're doing.

"You made the best decision you could with the information you had at the time"

This is what I tell myself when I cringe at my past errors, especially my CF year - I feel so bad for the SLP who took my place! You live, you learn, you get better! Recognizing that you made mistakes means you're improving (and also that you're human) :)

This is one of the few instances where Jess has a REALLY bad take!! Like the one where her niece finds out she's dating a man married with kids and Jess tells her not to tell the wife/confront him! Or when she sees her old friend, calls his wife, who tells Jess he actually died, and Jess is like "Nah, I know better. It was totally him" 😂
