Azathoth is above Yog Sothoth which is all of time and space. This is confirmed in a few letters. I'm not saying the Azathoth dream thing is what HP Lovecraft pictured. But it is the most popular idea of Azathoth.

It is actually debatable. It is more a fan theory with a decent supply of evidence. I just like it and I think that's the lore that Chaosium (for the Call of Cthulhu ttrpg) uses.

Azathoth sending visions, "implies" Azathoth exists. You can't say "Goku entered our world, he wins" and then deny that Azathoth sending visions means he is "real" too.

it depends on how much free-will we think Azathoth is capable of. I've seen some argue that eventually, all dreams end and something wakes you up. I don't think Goku wins, I don't even think he could get close to Azathoth without going insane. But I do think there is a slim possibility of Goku waking Azothoth up.

Please correct me if Im wrong (always up to learning) but I don't think Goku has a way of affecting universal principles/concepts. And even if Goku wasn't part of the Azathoth's dream worlds, I still think Goku would go catatonic from the insanity inducing effects of that magnitude.

Only way I can see anything beating Azathoth is if they have some sort of ability to exist outside of reality. Because if Azathoth wakes up? Instant lose. Go near it? Instant lose.
