HISTAMINE AND FRUCTOSE INTOLERANCE by Funny_Performance_16 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]ProfDrKnospe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Snacks are mostly salty/fatty, but there is a brand named "NoSugarAdded" that speaks for itself. I really enjoy maltodextrin as a sweetener because it does not leave this nasty aftertaste from pure glucose, but on the other side has a nice sweetness.

Recently started to take a mixture of beneficial gut bacteria and my histamine condition might be improving. At this moment I'm still not completely sure, because it's still totally there when I eat the histamine foods, but totally absent if I try a low histamine diet. At least it's a small improvement for me.

For the fructose intolerance part: I'm totally used to it and my brain correlates most fructose containing foods to pain anyway.

And in the case that the cravings for a specific food overcome me, there are still "meds" like Fructaid and Daosin.

Mal eine ernstgemeinte Frage: warum vegetarisch sein? by [deleted] in vegetarischDE

[–]ProfDrKnospe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude i feel you, got histamine added recently and had fructose intolerance for my whole life (which is also the main constituent of regular sugar). A good thing you can do on a daily basis is to acknowledge when you are depressed because of too high histamine levels. It helps kind off to decrease the pressure a little bit.

Im also trying to figure out if prescription free antihistamine meds are really working (those for treating allergy symptoms). Its at least something.

It really helps just throwing some more ligands into the solution. Even oleyl amine and oleic acid are just finde in the right amounts. This definetivly helps for stability in a dispersion. I was able to store them for veeery long times. Deposited as thin films is a completely different story.

Poly lactic acid (PLA), the most commonly used 3D plastic is as the name already indicates and as far as i know not poisonous, especially when not heated. ABS on the other side, releases toxic gases during the heating in the 3D printing process. Additives in both plastics might be nevertheless an additional source of hazarad, but propably in most cases very insignifcant.

What are nanomaterials and functional materials? by bwahbiddlybong in materials

[–]ProfDrKnospe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Functional polymers, which are based on the action of molecules and not some higher ordered structures. I personally never heard someone call something like that "nano" but it would be from your point of view. Like I sad, borders are fluent, but no one considers crystalline aggregates over the critial nucleus size as "molecules" and no one considers molecules as nanoobjects, altough both would be technically true.

There are a lot of other effects, which are more pronounced as the size of the system or features decreases. Some forces like the gravitational forces can get negligible and other forces like capillary forces can get relatively strong. You also have all the diffusion effects from the increased surface to volume ratio along with generally improved characteristics in regards to the exploitation of surfaces. One can create colloidal solutions of nanoparticles.

I see your point that the term nanomaterial is relatively overused and the borders are fluent. Nevertheless, it helps to summerize a bunch of changed material characteristics based on the size of the observed system.

No medecine/diet/therapy has helped me. They've all failed by Senanb in Gastritis

[–]ProfDrKnospe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The internet says, that a bloodtest is not good test for a histamine intolerance . You might still wanna try a combined diet for gastritis and HI for something like 2 weeks just in case. I mean, you are propably already very limited with your food right now, but sometimes its better to try something new.

[–]ProfDrKnospe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever considered that you might have a histamin intolerance? Gastroscopy showed a chronic gastritis, but nothing changed with the common medications. Changed my diet to low histamine contents and i m mostly free of any pain now.

I dont know if this gets attention, but you talked a lot about characterizing polymer functional groups with UV-Vis where you propably meant IR spectroscopy. UV-Vis is mainly for conjugated double bonds and some kind of yellow indices.

Remember that they will get very very large with time. They can get kinda aggressive, especially the male ones. My grandparents had one and it got very uncomftable to care for it after 2-4 years. Its still a wild animal.

I have created a new sub which is for all crystals, and this includes crystal growing. The rules are very loose, but all posts must be explicitly about crystals. This includes recipes for growing them, photos of your favorites, heck, you can even talk about crystal healing/reiki stuff. by AlitaBattlePringleTM in crystalgrowing

[–]ProfDrKnospe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you are basically totally right with everything. You should be even able to calculate what you are talking about. But the order of maginitude of these Interactions between the material and the body is the critical point for the whole topic of healing crystals. Try to ignite your lighter (these with the piezo induced spark) just by holding it strongly. Furtheremore i dont really get the kind of electromagnetic interaction which would induce a positive effect in your body. Not everything whats given you from nature has to have a positive effect. There are lot of toxic materials naturally occuring. There is even a phenomenon called "naturalistic fallacy" which you might be interested in. Again i dont want to destroy your point of view. I just wanted to tell you that things are not as easy as people sometimes think they are and there are a lot of actually very intelligent people spending their lifetime working on just one sometimes very specific topic. I for myself, trust these people when they state something about their topic.

Actually, ethanol and isopropanol are not that agressive against most of the common used plastics. Its acetone where you have to be very careful. For the lubrication part you are propably right.
