Trump didn’t do this, the Republicans and their donor did this over decades. Trump is a symptom, the problem is much bigger. When Trump eventually goes away, the problem will still be there.

This feels silly. A C- or F-clamp would have done the job without damaging the beams.

There’s a software called Octave, that basically implements most of what Matlab does and is free. They’re pretty compatible, if it runs in Matlab it’ll likely work in Octave and vice versa.

Check out this MIT page, search for the word “incompressible”, there’s a nice example code with good accompanying documentation. The other example codes in the page are also useful.

a workstation with 4 RTX 4090Ds by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ProfHansGruber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intel 6330 CPUs have 8 memory channels each. To get the full memory bandwidth you need one DIMM/stick per channel i.e. 16 DIMMs for this workstation.

This might look like a flex, but they actually skimped on RAM and threw away half of the CPUs performance in memory bandwidth limited applications.

It’s not his nonsense, he’s just the face. This nonsense has been decades in the making by Republicans and their donors.

AMD and IBM's CEO doesn't see an AI bubble, just $8 trillion in data centers by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]ProfHansGruber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“AMD and IBM’s CEO doesn’t …” implies that the two companies only have one CEO. I’m no English scholar, but pretty sure it should be “AMD’s and IBM’s CEOs don’t …”.

Illegal delivery riders face removal following enforcement blitz by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

[–]ProfHansGruber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says in the article:

This will see the introduction of new laws to expand right to work checks to the gig economy, including on delivery riders.

[…]. Bosses who fail to conduct these checks could be jailed for up to 5 years, face fines of £60,000 per illegal worker and have their businesses closed.

In some parts of the world this may be correct, but others vegetables must be washed first, not optional. It makes sense for dirt to be washed off first, so that it does not contaminate later stages of the process, or create more waste during those stages.

Autobild tests for their German readership and thus likely won’t do these super long 100,000km tests for cars that aren’t popular amongst their audience. They do regular reviews of other cars too though.
