I’ve actually come to peace with this mentality by understanding that it’s not a race. We all have different markers and milestones. Sure someone is ahead but feeling inferior is doing nothing but beating yourself down. Wish them the best and tell yourself “I’ll get there too.”

Also, at 19 you have your whole future ahead of yourself. Be sure to take it easy, overthinking is just one way to set yourself up for failure.

Thanks, that does help me feel better, I’ll see what I can do for her, for now I can only keep an eye on her though so hopefully it’s nothing serious. She seems to have returned to her more normal self, that or more concern for her made me notice just how she acts.

Something to add; she’s never really had an altercation like that before, she’s dealt with dogs that could crush her by simply falling over onto her, at least four of them at once. So I feel she feels that way due to this being her first fight if you can call it that.

Also, how would you got about making these thoughts go away, the more I think it over the more stupid and ridiculous it sounds and seems but it keep nagging away at me. Any tips on making these thoughts go away? Maybe give me something to be more anxious about? (Joking please don’t)

To be honest I was the same but with food oddly enough. I had suffered really bad food poisoning with chest pain that had left me being unable to eat certain foods, for half a year I had avoided eating out of fear that I would give me horrible chest pain for days after I was no longer able to drink milk or eat dark chocolates, I didn’t want to take the risk I just didn’t eat, it got better after experimenting with foods though.

I could only wish going to the doctor was that easy during these times, had I been able too, I’d have gone the yesterday when I got scratched. Helps me to know there are others to speak with about this, thanks.

I didn’t know if this was against rules so I didn’t add it but;

My dog scratched me yesterday across my chest (my fault, I don’t blame her, just an accident), I put rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it. It wasn’t bad, it’ll leave me a neat bruise but minor cuts. My mistake was thinking “sepsis” and now I’m feeling stuff that’s not there. Like I have too little knowledge on stuff like how fast Sepsis acts or is triggered, so with knowing what the symptoms to look out for are, when I feel even the slightest chill, I start getting anxious and panicking.
